I remember having Jackson for a large portion of last season. Could be a good pickup

Roosters will win imo. Putting in lately and the broncos look horrible.

Has Niello withdrawn from the eliminator, and therefore the guy he beat up on is now through to live another day ?

Is anyone looking at holding Claw this week ? Not sure my team can handle another 11.

Croker is just out of reach so my options are looking like BJ, TTurbo or JBird. Gutherson's scores in the halves have also been solid over the last two rounds.

Having a sneaky sneaky at the top 10 ranking teams BJ seems to be a common theme :-)

Has anyone considered having a flutter with Gutherson now that Norman is gooooone for the year ? Or would you just play it safe (relatively speaking) and hope BJ is there or there abouts with his epic fending.

    Thoughts ?

With both Guth & Hurrel as NPRs I reckon you've got plenty of options,
Hurrel seems to have found his stride playing 80 minutes the last 2 games with good base stats for a centre
Gutherson at 5/8 will hit a few big scores with attacking stats, and should be good for consistent 40s

So you would play Hurrell and hold the trade? Would you play Whitehead over Buhrer on the bench?

Lads I have a predicament...what is SSTs BE this week? See I have 112k in the bank and wthe plan was to go SST to Bodene leaving me with 2k to spare. But with no Bodene and a chance SST loses cash tonight I might not get another crack at the cherry. Exclamation

    I've done 1 trade this week Mitchell to Teddy but still have 6 trades and 7K. I kind of want to use another one but not sure what to do if anything. My team;

    Smith (Friend)
    Fifita Gallen (Ese Lealaui)
Mannering Merrin Surgess (Carty ET Talakai)
    SJ Hunt (Cleary Feeny)
    BJ Aitken (Hurrell Copley)
    Teddy Munster Barba (Guth Manu)

Can't see anything worth doing, perhaps a Copley downgrade? Looking at Carty too and wondering if he's still a keeper for next season. Want to upgrade ET but will need the cash as anyone else around that price would be too sideways. Anything stand out that I've missed?

I'm holding him at this stage.

He's currently my 19th man and with only $41k in the bank I would need to make two trades to upgrade him to Croker/Leilua/Roberts.

    Already have Gutherson and Aitken.

Other options T.Trbo, J.Bird, SKD all have there ups and downs and I'm not convinced using one my precious three trades to have them as a 19th man is worthwhile..

Hurrel is a lower cost option who I'm tempted by also..

What does Lolohea avg @ Fullback?

If (and its a big IF giving Cappys track record) he maintains that spot he could be worth the $100K downgrade from Claw

    49. He shouldn't lose too much cash at all.

I am actually really tempted to get rid of Ryan James this week because of his poor stats recently, if i wait another i will not be able to afford Merrin. I gotta do some thinking scratch

I like T.Trbo but his numbers are not what I would have expected. From what I have seen he's looked great irl but it doesn't seem to have translated to fantasy.

Aitken is my other playing centre, giving me a choice of Claw and Copley. Might just sit on the fence one week and watch Gutherson, if he gets another 40/50ish next week he could be in but with all the moving parts at the Eels it still feels like a risk.

BJ also has the sharks coming up in RND22 followed by the Storm in RND23 which could limit his attacking stats.

    Ah...tricky.

I am keen on Lolo but like you say, you never know what Cappys got cooking. Surely he keeps picking him if he wants to keep his job !

I wouldn't worry too much about CLaw's 11. Played less than half a game due to injury.
Main concern would be around his ongoing fitness for the next week or 2. But he is a top 10 centrefold if fit should score well.

Not to say there aren't better players, just that the benefits of trading may be marginal.

Personally, I'm running with Aitken, Gutherson, Hurrell in the centres and just pick the best 2 based on form and fixtures.
Do have a bit of cash to upgrade one of them, but might just save the trade

Yes I would keep Hurrell, he's on the way up
Buhrer has had a few good games with attacking stats, Whitehead is a bit more consistent though. But saying that, Manly is playing the Knights and Buhrer might well get another few attacking stats this round, it's a difficult call to make
