I reckon that the broncos slump, particularly the last couple of games, goes to show how crucial Gillett is to them. He's such an effective one on one tackler, particularly on the opposition centre in broken play, which was a glaring deficiency last night.

I never thought I would say this......but I think we are missing the ol' ginger ninja Jack Reed as much as anyone. Slowest centre in the NRL and prone to occasionally falling off a tackle, but generally really solid defensively and works well with his inside and outside man. Pretty sure he got injured around Round 11 when the rot started. We look clueless out wide in defence at the moment, most tries are walking through close to untouched. Doesn't help that we seem to be getting a lot of outside back injuries and HIA departures which keeps causing a re-shuffle to our outside backs. Watching poor Niko get destroyed on the wing a few weeks back was horrendous.

Copley gave Roberts an absolute bath last night - bet he enjoyed that.

After complimenting BHunt on his improved defense last week he proceeds to revert back to the norm/worse last night. They definitely missed those suspended & Gillett as they essentially fielded a reserve grade 2nd row that provided no protection for the halves. There's no way any half is going to have a good game when the pack is being dominated & going backwards.

Sure, i came 200,000th place last season but i would rather not talk about that

Sounds like my first foray into Fantasy prem. Came top 10,000 or so first year... next few years I was outside the top 100,000 before I eventually lost interest.

Actually, that rings true for any fantasy sport so far - NRL started off really well ... now not going so well.

Came 3rd in the virtual sports super rugby comp one year, unfortunately there was only a prize for first place... kiwis probably weren't eligible anyway! :-/

Nice problem to have but that means I will have to decide between:

    Ted/Aitken/Barba/Semi/Latrell

I've put on 9 kegs in the last few months so back to drinking piss with Coke Zero or Saxby's Diet Ginger Ale. I actually like it better than "Full Stregth" soft drink now.

You are a fucking hipster by the way; you and Honeysett could have little hipster babies together and call them HoneysFilth or FilthHoney or some such amalgamation.

Funny, I've lost 7-8kg in the past 4 months after putting about 5kg on since I moved to Melbourne. Too much good food and drink here!

We would have hipster babies before it was cool, so there.

Who to start Cartwright or Whitehead? I'm leaning towards Whitehead, atleast I think he should score pretty well against the Rabbits.

Or I just bite the bullet and upgrade one of them but who too... Gallen or JDB, neither really excites me at the moment.

I'd be tempted to play Cartwright against the Warriors just because it's the Warriors. I'm was even tempted to captain Merrin myself but chose to stick with Smith.
