With no match-ups this week I might just put the C on Hayne

Perhaps, but if Sharks lose, Raiders can aim for the win and move into second place. But I guess that doesn't matter as they will both play each other anyway won't they?

You're right, but aren't they not playing it at Sharks even if they get second or something?

You'd think if Canberra were resting players it would be forwards, and potentially Sezer due to injury.
You'd think BJ/Rapana/Croker would be safe

No idea. I thought the issue was second week if they win first week that they would not be allowed to play at Bruce? You could be right though, maybe they have to play in Sydney even if it's a home final.wolfking wrote:SI wrote:

They've allowed a Semi there in the last 5 years v Tigers second week.

Looks like it's Sharks who get dudded not being allowed to play a "home" final any Finals round. Canberra get to play at home if they finish second so stakes are high if Sharks lose.
If Sharks win then Sticky can rest the entire first grade squad for the game in God's Country v the mighty Tigers

2 trades to use this week and ~100k cash
using one of them to move mau to centre and play over barba(aitken to wfb)
thinking of grabbing jdb with the other trade for Jturbo/Cartwright/Merrin/Whitehead. Who is my best one week trade option?

Been looking shocking but I haven't seen anything other than highlights since about round 8. Managed to catch one origin game but that was it. Missed some very promising rookies by the looks of it

That's why I don't think we'll know who will be rested until game day.

Both the young halves have looked tremendous. Matterson could be a great running 5/8 in years to come and Watson a great utility or genuine half himself.multiple.scoregasms wrote:SI wrote:

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 49
Can't wait for the year to finish, been plummeting down the rankings for a few weeks now and am in danger of being passed by the Lone Scout. Looking forward to next year but cannot foresee any cash cows. The odd cheapie will turn up but unless there are some pre season injuries I can't see any cash cows being available. I was hoping Hutchinson might be one but his score last night put to bed that hope.

Same here; was 203rd last month, slowly losing 30 or 40 spots a week since then to 330 something. Can't complain though as it's my 2nd best finishbluetige wrote:Can't wait for the year to finish, been plummeting down the rankings for a few weeks now and am in danger of being passed by the Lone Scout. Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 49
This weeks Carter award goes to Peter Wallace who missed 7 tackles and gave away 3 penalties for -20 points. Special mention must go to Jack Bird who seemed to give Maloney plenty of shit for a mistake last week, but he should take a good look at his own performance before criticising other people. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

The only teams affected by a change from Home Ground to Home City are Sydney teams with shitty suburban grounds.
They definitely used to be able to play finals at shitholes in the past, but I think its been a few years since the NRL quashed that idea.
If Canberra finish 3rd (or 2nd for that matter) and lose they'll get a home game in week 2.
But if they win in week 1 (regardless of whether they finish 2nd or 3rd) then they get a "home" qualifier in Sydney.
