Re: NFL Fantasy II
I'm struggling with holding a bench space for a QB at the moment tbh mate. Have Rivers and Brees and seriously considering dumping Rivers. I think you can get away with streaming a QB (I've had great success streaming in TE and K so far this year) and would prefer to have a position on my bench stitched up purely for a stash. Think of picking up a returning injured player early and stashing them to use as a bargaining chip later. This is my thought process currently. The next week or so will tell. Probs the only reason I haven't done so already is I'm nervous about coming last (though I think either @Archer or @Krump have that stitched up in L2).

Re: NFL Fantasy II
Out of curiosity, can anyone explain to me how a dynasty draft works? I have some mates in the USA that found out I am doing the NFL draft this year and asked me to join next year and don't wanna seem like a noob! These guys are straight up ruthless, if I asked them they'd know I have no idea and then strip me of all moral credibility!

who you looking at Mearcats? Rawls? Coleman? Not sure if there is too much talent out there that haven't made it to IR and are still weeks away? whats the rules on IR? at least 7 weeks? (i suppose we could get some of those back pending injuries)

No mate, there's a couple out there... Not to give too much away but there's a few guys that could be worth sacrificing a bench position for. A lot of it comes back to researching other teams in our league and seeing what they're lacking and taking some big gambles on what they'll need soon (which is also gambling on the returning player performing) but fuck it, ya only live once!

To give ya an idea, even Hunter Henry is sitting on the wire in our league. Stash a guy like that and you're one or two injuries away from having some decent trade bait

I've dumped some blokes, not sure if I should have held them. When your coming last and getting flogged each week I've got no patience with injured blokes and I'd rather take a punt on someone else. Could be that half the blokes you are talking about have come from me Mearcats
If so, you're welcome to them! Anyone who left me in the lurch with injuries won't be coming back to team Archer again!

Hahaha, I also saw this early this morning. Fortunately for me I got the day off so plenty of time to do some tinkering and pick up a weapon or two!

Ah right, thought maybe you were implying he was an alt of someone with so few posts. Thought maybe someone was trying to beat up us plebs in L2 under a different guise and wondered who you thought it was. Apparently I thought about it too much though
Its ok cobber, thinking is how someone worked out bonking. Wouldnt have taken long, but would have started with a thought.

This first couple of sentences could be taken in such a dirty way, aspersions aside i found it quite funny.
Like Surmo has done, i thought about stashing Ryan as a Qb when he was dropped. But i opted no, like usual. Ok to run with one Qb and stream if/when required. I only see WR and RB as bench space takers.
Sounds like Mearcats is learning the trade well, did anyone answer his dynasty league q ?
Isn't it just a llng term league like say 3 years. Where u keep your selected players each year and aim to build. Leaves it more open to building a great team down the line as u scope for future stars and rookies.

Re: NFL Fantasy II
Cheers @Revraiser, appreciate the answer. So I'm planning on doing a little bit of movement L2 lads. I will be offloading Ertz, Lacy and Rivers or DeSean Jackson this week. I am open to chats for a few of the bigger lads or I will just dump em onto the waivers.
I have a strategy that I am going to try to implement over the coming weeks... It may not be a sound strategy but it's a strategy all the same and I'm ready to take a few risks to make some moves!

Jackson worth something this week for sure against Detroit. Lacy should draw some bites to in trade talk. I hope you don't have to dump him mate.... Get something for him aye! I'd be offering you something if I were in ur league!!

Re: NFL Fantasy II
Hey hows everyone going in Dream Team? I just checked one of my teams (yes I have a couple)
But its 5th overall and looking pretty solid. The fullah in first has 2 TEs and all 3 QBs out this week with only 2 trades available so I reckon I have a good shot at catching him at least.
How's everyone else going?
I haven't actually thought my team was going very well, in particular my whole strategy was based around Garapollo playing 4 weeks, making big $, then trading for Brady.
The only guys who have really killed it for me have been Elliot, Johnson and then a few decent scoring cash cows in Dak, Benjamin, & Nelson. But I figured every man and his dog would have had all those guys.
I can't figure out then why I've gotten up the ranks so much. A couple good calls this week just gone though with Miller starting, & Fleener traded in.
Anyway, how's everyone else doing? Is anyone still playing hard?

Re: NFL Fantasy II
Just started to think about some of the bye planning for L2 over the next few weeks. David Johnson and Gronk are out for me in week 9 - and who am I up against Rawls Deep (5-1).
Thankfully though he's hit as bad with bye than I am with Brady, Hopkins and Gostkowski out (plus a couple of bench players)
Anyone else in the hurt locker soon?
