Didn't know where to put this, but found out this morning that one of the guys in the dreamworld accident was from my year at school. Saw him just a week ago at our reunion.
Crazy shit to have happened. RIP dude

It's alright No Worries, I'm sure much worse has been said on Facebook/Twitter whatever.
Having read into what happened I hope he went quickly because it sounds a fucking gruesome way to go.

I'm surprised by how many down votes it's attracted. While it's dark humour I thought it funny and people were being a bit precious.
But to topic at hand, having ridden that ride, I can't comprehend how the fuck it happened..

Yeah mate I haven't heard specifically but am reading between the lines based on what occurred to the raft and what the ambo's said i.e. injuries incompatible with living......
On a separate but equally as morbid note, I heard some pretty ordinary details about how those two poor bastards died recently at the Eagle Farm racecourse job site - not good.
Sadly when your time's up, it's up.

Gears, conveyor belts and human flesh. I don't think any more than injuries is going to be reported.

The scary thing about it is that the ride was effectively over. They were just waiting to get off and go about their day, and then seconds later they were gone.
