Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 2
Milchcow unsure how hard it is but when you get player breakdowns is it possible to get breakdowns from previous years. Means I dont have to load up previous year stat sheets. Also if players pricing could be added in a way I could search what players prices have peaked at previously and such.

Player pricing shouldn't be too hard, should be able to add just an extra column.
Score breakdowns for old seasons is possible, the biggest issue is going to the the resultant size of the spreadsheets. Some of them can take a while to open and do anything so if I can chuck all the extra data in there without killing performance then I'll get it done.
One day I'll get everything into a backend database and create a web front end like what honey_badger did with his team picker. But that requires a bit more skills and free time than I have right now.

Milchow (i'm sure you've answered this before), but how do you get all the player data?

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 2
How do we see the Manly pack playing out?
Assuming they run with Hastings/Koroisau combo would this be close?
8. Starling 40
9. Koroisau 50
10. Lussick 40
11. Taupau 80
12. Sironen/Lane/Kennedy 50
13. Trbojevic 80
14. Hastings 30
15. Sironen/Lane/Kennedy 30
16. Fonua-Blake 40
17. Lawrence 40
Or do we see Fonua-Blake starting over Starling with Taupau in the prop rotation?

Just replace Myles with starling and the rest is correct give or take a few games where Taupau and/or trobjevic won't play 80 and the bench will pick up the slack. Read somewhere that Barrett likes big rangy second rowers eg lane and sironen, and that Lewis brown and Brenton Lawrence were being shopped around. Maybe Lloyd Perret will be given a go in Lawrence's place

No, at this stage it makes perfect sense to Go 2 guns, 1 midranger(Moses) and elgy. Norman and SJ are my gun halves tooMighty Fishes wrote:Too much to start with Norman, Johnson and Moses?

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 2
Can someone confirm for me but Bevan French wouldn't have played any games at fullback while Norman was in the team would he?
What were Frenchs stats when exclusively fullback?

Nope, he only started at fullback the last 2 games (not sure if he played there 80 mins, because Flash was on the wing)
In both rounds he scored 3 tries, so his scores are a bit bloated 57 & 50

At this point there don't appear to be any viable cheapies in the halves. So spend up.
I think that will be quite common. Norman and Moses especially

I'd say Vete or Gubb will start & Gavet/Sipley onto the bench

We don't (at this point) in the season have the usual rookie half which everyone starts the season with ala Arey, DCE, AshTaylor, Cody Walker, Feeney *cough*
Makes sense filling up with established players unless you want to take a wild swing and pick a rookie who doesn't get named R1 but gets a shot when an injured starer goes down early season

Hi everyone. JWH played some decent backend of last season. Good option?
I've read someone has done some good work with old fantasy data ?
