I had Slater last year & that was a mistake. I just don't see Slater lasting that long. Will he even make it through the trials. Last year I read this report that Slater was injury free, his body was fit as & so on but he got injured in round 1. You could maybe risk starting with Munster on the assumption that Slater will probably get injured.

If Slater plays trials at least we get a chance to see him in action (or at least read about him in action) and can nave a bit more if an informed choice about whether to take a point in round 1 or not

Would rather use a trade and turn grab Munster as a POD. Assuming RTS and Hayne put up scores they are capable of both may be keeping leaving most people needing to make a choice between Munster and Teddy for the final spot

He doesn't have the size to last 80 minutes in the NRL there's a good reason why he's not being spoken about

He doesn't be have big size about him but he's all heart when he plays. I know he won't play 80 mins and I'm not talking him up as an option. It's more directed at those who think King is locked in at 9 and will play big minutes. I can't see that at all

    According to Wiki...

    Pritchard - 175cm 80kg
    Peats - 181cm 92kg

    Fairly big difference there.

Parra Eels site lists him at 90KG though.. wonder what it is? i would assume he's been working on adding some bulk as the years progress.

Even if Arthur does want an 80min hooker, I reckon he'll have to settle for playing both King and Pritchard, at least to start the year.

Lol I don't think Ben Barba is even that light. There is no chance Kaysa is 80kgs

Yeah I'm not overly fussed TBH, I just had a quick geez to see their height difference and noticed the massive weight difference. 175cm and 90kg? Either Pritchard has turned into a mini hulk or he went back for thirds at Christmas lunch and dinner.

Oh right, right. King is a spud. Fragile as glass and hasn't managed to crack first grade on the regular at any club he's been at so I don't see that changing at the Eels with the options they have there.

Gallen is injury prone. Not interested in Whitehead or J-Trbo. I think the only ones that could maintain their average are Cordner, B. Thompson, Cartwright, Harris. I do like Buhrer/Barnett  as I think they'll make 100 tackles a game but I have Sione. After that price range it's pretty bare. Dare I say it Aubusson playing 80 mins in a much better 2017 Roosters looks good.

I wanted to start with mannering as he is a keeper who plays the first bye but hes too expensive and price will come down. Buhrer playing lock interests me tho

You say that . But unless he gets injured, it's unlikely Mannering is going to see any significant price drop

Putting potential for injury aside (because anyone could end up with a freak injury), is there any reason that Gallen won't put up big numbers this year?

When he plays he always puts in big numbers. Trouble is, he doesn't play enough. Without looking at the stats, would he average 15 NRL games in the regular season per year over the past couple? Seems that Flano doesn't mind resting him for the most minor niggles.

Reduced role to keep him fit for the full season?

I'm wondering how much of that was due to the extra workload around rep season?
