Exactly. Now I know how NSW supporters felt watching the 2015 NRL GF.

New article on nrl.com seems pretty good with Procotor and Hurrel on the same edge. Might help Hurrels defence a little

Hey Welshy, feel like scoring a team?
Smith McInnes
McGuire Gurgess Hoare Nuff
Surgess ET SMat Hess Elliott Nuff
SJ Norman Elgey Hingano
Hurrell Idris Kelly Jennings
RTS Slater Hayne Python Dufty 35k
4th reserve is a worry, I'll let you choose, I figure one of those cheap spots might be filled by someone promising come TLT or Hingano or Cowboys prop might do the job for the first couple of weeks and 35k might be enough to get me that good scoring cow that makes itself known after injuries in the first couple of weeks. Alternatively open to squeezing Kennedy in if he starts by downgrading SJ to Arey and Python to 138k.

Welshy, when you get a chance would you be willing to look into scores for Milchows Team Solver. I havent had time to do it myself but would be interested in what starting 17 it would come up with. (Of course if you have time and can work it out.)

If you substitute "kids" for "swingers" then this sentence suddenly becomes laden with innuendo and puns.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread Part 3
One CTR i havn't seen mentioned yet but I have been thinking about it Kata.
Maybe it is the 1am talking, but I am seriously considering loading up on Warriors backs to start the season. I am talking all three of Johnson, RTS and Kata. Has anybody had a really good look at the draw? The Eels have a few easy games to start with (but all on the road), and the Sharks have a couple of tough match-ups followed a short stretch against some weaker teams, but no team even comes close to the Warriors' favorable draw. Knights (H), Storm (H), Bulldogs (A), Dragons (A), Titans (H), Eels (H). A tough game against Melbourne for sure, but if they can get their shit together right at the start of the season (which, to play devil's advocate, has never ever been their strong suit), then I could really see their backline putting a lot of points on any of these other teams. Anybody have some stats on Kata from 2016 for me?

Milchy's front page link has them I think? It usually does over the year's, but I haven't used it this year yet.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread Part 3
Thoughts on this experimental team. Just wanted to see what team would look like with Gallen in it, but doubt I'll pull the trigger and start with him. Also relying on Slater being fit and 3 base price cow 2rfs turning up (or a HB with Cartwright slipping in there).
Smith (c), King
McGuire, JWH, AFB (PKafusi)
Surgess, Gallen, KBrom, (NPR, NPR, NPR)
SJ, Cartwright, Gutherson, Elgey
Idris, SMat (Kelly, Scott)
RTS, Hayne, Slater (NPR, NPR)

Surgess, Gallen, KBrom, (NPR, NPR, NPR)
SJ, Cartwright, Gutherson, Elgey
Idris, SMat (Kelly, Scott)
RTS, Hayne, Slater (NPR, NPR)

I dont mind it, because if you are not having a gun in the second hooker spot I think you need to get another elite keeper such as Gallen/Mannering/Graham in to justify it. Reserves are King AFB Guth Elgey? Also whats the go with JWH, I've seen him in a couple of teams?

Yeah I had mentioned the warriors draw before. Even the Bulldogs game is in NZ so five of the first six games are in NZ. Already have SJ and RTS. I will have to have a closer look at Kata.

I'm liking that team for the most part but as you say the reserves is where it starts to get rough. McInnes, ET and Norman are solid POD options who I haven't seen too many running with but MCInnes and Norman in particular are costly 2nd best options in their position so are limiting what you can do with the bench. Going Gurgess as the 2nd prop will be tempting for many if TLT works out well and helps save some money. Overall I very much like the look of your starting 13, you're main two reserves in Elgey and McInnes but from there I think you might be lacking. Not that your cheap options in the likes of Hoare, Hess and Python are dud options, but just that with 35k left I feel like you will be needing too many downgrades early if your cheapie gambles don't pan out

Yeah I'm not convinced with Mcinnes but Norman is in all my drafts and will stay there. Favourable draw, dominant half and plenty of room for improvement given I think I read he only scored one try last year.

Definitely see the appeal of Norman. Eels wee all over the show last year so if they somehow manage to string some consistency and stability across multiple games he is one of the better top end PODs in the halves in my opinion. If you aren't convinced on McInnes why not look at someone like Hodgson or Luke who are similar priced PODs. Hodgson should put up pretty similar stats to last year and is a solid reliable option who could string together multiple 50+ tackle games. Luke on the other hand has room for improvement if the Warriors click from the get go with RTS as it should open up more attacking runs for Luke and see more LBA's possibly
