So who are going to be the big round 1 TLT traps. Guys who look promising to start with but soon find themselves in dumpsville.

Nathan Green a prime example last year. Cody Walker could almost have been one but got a good run after ARey's injury.

Is there anything more to this than people getting numbers from the testing site?
I wouldn't get my hopes up. Are the "new"  prices all still in proportion to last year's averages? Can't be arsed checking now but that would be a big clue as to whether they are legit or not

Correct me if i'm wrong, probs am, but according to your prices, bottom dollar players have changed from 130k to 138k. Shouldn't that convert the salary cap from 6.8 million to roughly 7.2 million not to 7 million. The test site has bottom dollar players at 134k, which almost perfectly explains the 7 million cap. 134/130 multiplied by 6.8 million gives roughly 7 million.

I reckon K Brom, Gurgess, Matt Prior and J Wallace. Just not sure they will improve as much as everyone thinks. In reality, going on previous years, only 1 or two at best of the four will improve enough to have warranted selection.

For starters, K Brom will not play 80 on an edge (it will be 60 mins). His PPM will be less on the edge than the middle. Average 40 at best.

Gurgess just won't get enough minutes to average more than 37 at best.

Matt Prior just doesn't have the attacking stats as well as Jarrod Wallace. Need 50 minutes to average 38ish and so will be a slow burn to get that 50-60K increase.

They all have the potential to be this years LAM or KEvans.

AFB will be this years Mataora. I won't touch Sironen but maybe will go with Lane/Kennedy if they get the start.

I think you have misinterpreted my question.

The guys I want to talk about are players who'll be named to start in round 1. Or perhaps be named hooker with no bench utility.

But come round 2 or 3 these guys are back to the bench or state league.

Manly last year had a rd1 team that changed heaps in the following weeks. That's the sort of thing I'm interested in what may happen.

I understand it's a little silly having the conversation this far out from round 1, but just trying to keep some things in mind.

Those guys don't fit that definition, although they may well not be good fantasy options.

If Gurges's starts round 1, them barring injury he should continue starting.
If he doesn't start then most people will jump off him.

K Brom averaged 41-42 mins last year, if 60 is what you think he'll play, he will 100% improve

Matt Prior averaged 44 mins last year but averaged like 60 during finals so if he continues those minutes he will also definitely improve.

    I agree with Burgess but

Last year I ended up with 3 fires to put out pretty quickly in Henry, Littlejohn, Green. Henry obviously due to injury but Littlejohn and Green were named to start from nowhere and then disappeared
