for angus- there are much better options that will guarentee a spot + probally starting for the same price= pulu, lisone, matagai would all be better options in my mind but they arn't centres- could fill it up with whare, scott , talaki as other options around that price in the centres

After a dissaponting 2016 I have handed SI the C so i can focus on my own game this year, although i have a sneaky suspicion(like others) that he may be batting for both teams.

Unless they've changed it for this year, VSDT has rolling lockout, including the old-style captain's loophile

Cheers guys thought so but wanted to be sure, Welshy Crichton has class stamped all over him just needs time to develop.

AR I was real keen on Crichton, hes going to be a great player but where do you think he fits in there 17? I cant really see him getting many minutes in the pack or getting a centre position unless im missing something? With the new team list format hes definitely a wait and see for me? Grab him before price rises maybe when Turner breaks?

I figure/ hoping he will grab a bench spot - he may get more time if Souths are in control but its a wait and see for me, not critical in this format to start with him I suppose but I am keen to see him and Musgrove get more minutes.I would like this as a Round 1 team but it wont happen

1/ Ryan James = 534,800
2/ Paul Gallen = 528,600
3/ Andrew Fafita = 526,900
4/ James Graham = 510,000

That's about right.

Easy enough to work out - just divide the price of someone who played a lot of games last year by their average.

8875-8877 comes out pretty consistently

Speaking of VSDT - who is the best replacement for Tohu in the centres?

Ma'u, Aubusson, McQueen, Hurrell?
Might think about Idris, who currently isn't in my team in this format,

1/ Ma'u (a like-for-like CTR/2RF)
2/ Aitken (fantastic base points for a genuine centre in a team that doesn't give him many attacking opportunities)

Fifita or Gallen for me.

Ryan James had an outstanding year, but i want to see evidence he can repeat it before splashing that cash on him.

Gallen might be a lot more reliable now that he has no origin, so him or Fifita I think are worth the extra money over James
