Getting Rapana a couple of weeks ago at $305k would have been a very astute pick up

Even getting him last week instead of Tedesco would have been a top move in hindsight.

Getting him at $305k was sweet but ridding my team of Hayne at the same time for an almost comparable $253k was even sweeter!

Pity about the rest of my team....

This is the 17 I'll probably run out with this week.

    Friend McInnes
    Gallen JDB Wallace
    Surgess Taumalolo McGuire Merrin Brown
    SJ Cleary
    Ma'u Crichton
    Tedesco Slater RTS

It is a lot closer to a good final 17 than my Fantasy team is.

Just have to bring in Smith, Fifita and probably Pearce after origin. And then maybe a few more upgrades as and when trades allow.

Also, who to captain. I've captained Gallen most weeks he has been available, stick there or go to Taumalolo?

Are you just putting Graham in the NPRs mate (or trading him)?

Captain is a bugger aye. Most weeks I've chosen wrong by some margin.

That being said I have gone Gallen and Taumalolo the last few rounds and that has worked out well (although Lolo is a heart stopper as he seems to score most points in his second stint on the field and bugger all in his first) . Friend with Pearce out is an option I guess (but feels a bit risky - and not this round obviously). McInnes wouldnt be a bad bet either cause his base stats are so strong, 1 decent attacking play and he would get close to 70. I guess for me Mannering is an option too although I havent run with him all season...

I'll look at the match-ups and make a call.

I'll be running a pretty similar team to you - 12 of 17 the same (at least) and then it'll depend on what trades I pull this week. Differences at this stage will be: Aubs v Ma'u; Mannering v Merrin; Munster v Teddy; Walker v Cleary; and possibly Graham v Brown

Certainly I'd rather your team at this stage with some more consistent players in there Smile but you never know aye!

Holding Graham. Don't need to play him this week, so can wait until next week and see what happens.
Worst case he plays this week, lasts 10 minutes and puts up a shit score to send his price plummeting before I cash him out. Best case he proves himself fit and i can use him for the byes.

If he is still out next week I might consider a swap to JBrom (or maybe Gurgess, or even a min price cashout)

Also I have McCullough, not McInnes in this comp - just got things mixed up.
Perhaps I'll end up swapping Friend and McCullough for Smith and McInnes - might just do 1 of the swaps. Depends on form over the next few weeks and if I need trades of other injuries.

At this point stuff like McCullough - McInnes and Ma'u - Tohu Harris are luxury trades - but if they can net me an extra 5 points a week that might prove crucial, so I'll be considering them carefully over the next month.

Eliminator up. I have a team with very strong forwards, weak backs

    Me vs Him
    Friend - Brailey
    McCullough - ET/Graham
    JDB - Fifita
    Wallace - Papalii
    Cleary - Cronk
    Crichton - Cotric
    Ma'u - Leilua
    Tedesco - CWalker
    Slater - Wighton
    RTS - Copley/Whare

Should be OK to beat him. He is playing players not good enough for my 17 (I am resting C Walker this week, plus he'll play at least 1 of James Graham/Elijah Taylor, but I am resting both)

Still, if Fifita and Papalii go massive and he has a big game from one of his outside backs, I will be in trouble.

I have a tough matchup this week! My team will be (give or take last reserve choice):

    Friend (McInnes)
    Vaughan Surgess (Brown)
    Gallen, Taumalolo, Mannering (JDB)
    SJ, Reynolds (Walker)
    Crichton, Harris
    Radrad, RTS, S.Mat

It will come down to something like
    Vaughan vs. JTurbo
    Friend vs. Smith
    A Reynolds vs. D Walker
    Radrad vs. Tedesco
    McInnes vs. J Wallace
    Brown vs. CHN
    C Walker vs. Graham

I think he has the edge....

Was all set for Nikorima to Cleary. Now wondering if I could hold out for a week.

If I'll bring Cleary in anyway, may as well make the trade now. But if I hold for for a week or 2 and playing Niko as a starter, then I might open up more options other than Cleary (Ideally Niko would be playable until R20 and I could bring Pearce straight in)

Nikorima actually has better average as starting half (50.Cool than Cleary (44.6) does. But he has scored tries in 4 of his 5 starts, which surely isn't sustainable.

I guess I'll be spending all day agonising about it

Good start to eliminator though. opponent had underperforming Brailey and Fifita, plus will cop an AE for Cronk

I think Fifita's low score (who will have been captained by quite a few) and Brailey's shocker should be god for most of us in the Eliminator.

Starting to wonder if I jumped off Kaufusi too early!! Two games back to 80 min. Running nice lines and has that sweet Bye Cover from now on....

No room for him anymore though!!

I was thinking the same thing about Kaufusi. Moved him on 2-3 weeks too early. Would have been good bye cover for 15 and 18 too. My eliminator opponent put the C on Smith vs. me with Gallen. 30 points difference already right there. Bah. Going to be hard to make that back up.

I'm all over my eliminator in averages but I captained Gal and the bastard has thrown the (C) on Rapana, which makes me very nervous.
