If you filled a standard league they'll send you out a code at some point. I wont need mine this year being a Telstra customer so mine will be up for grabs.Spectre wrote:What's the go with these digital passes?

usually centres that score well have good tbs skills, which he has definitely got in him. and from memory hes fair greedy with the ball which could mean explosive points on some weeks, but we havent seen much, if any of him playing in the ctrs. will he do a crab walk like skd and rack up the tbs? or prefer to smash through like hurrell. if its the former, he could be a goer. maybe some trials will help decide
there might be more tried and tested options in that position with hurrel (11% ownership), also smats (20%) who are all priced similarly. a bit of a crap shoot with these 3 players depending on your risk appetite

White Lightning wrote:I just had a look at DCE's price @ 471k. I thought it would be lower since he had an injury affected 2016.
That's my point, he actually scored nearly 50 points a game, was injury affected, had Stewart at fullback for half the year??? Played for a team that got pumped.
Pretty sure he only had 1 line break from memory and the previous two years he averaged 9 line breaks or something like that. With TTurbo looming up in support pretty sure he can get back to near 55 average this year.
Its getting quite scary how many Manly players I could be interested in to start the year.
TTurbo, DYLAN WALKER, DCE, AFB, Uate? Sironen/Lane/Kennedy
I'm probably the only one on this site that thinks Manly could improve significantly this year, enough to say they are a real chance of making the 8.
They do have some quality players in JTurbo, AFB, Taupau, Korisau, Hastings, DCE, Walker, TTurbo, Jorge Taufua, Uate. There is some real strike power there. How they defend is another story.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
I think manly will be there abouts the 8. The general attitude of the team at the 9s was good. To use a cliche, they looked to be "playing for each other". That is a good sign in preseason. As with any team, injuries will make or break them.

Thoughts on J. Wallace and his minutes?
The Titans are also in talks with Grevsmuhl as well.
How many minutes is J. Wallace going to get. Last season when he played more than 40 minutes (Discounting the game he scored a try) he averaged a PPM of 0.75ppm. This means he will need 40 minutes on average to keep up his current price tag. However 60 minutes will see him push around 45 points a game, which is a decent upgrade. My problem is I don't see him getting 60 minutes. The Titans have 3 backrowers capable of playing a large amount of minutes. (Though Pulu will earn himself a spot in the 2RF rotation.) He will have Ryan James starting alongside him. The person he is replacing averaged 40 minutes last season (Luke Douglas). I think at best he averages 50 minutes and outside of scoring tries it should bump his score by around 7 points. It makes it a hard pick to justify for mine. Although if you think he will average 60 minutes then he is definitely a solid buy. Also the Titans have confirmed they are in talks with Grevmuhl who could impact on the likelihood of Wallace playing more than 40 minutes.

well my personal opinion (which i've posted before) is i'm not quite sure where he will find the extra mins to see a decent rise in output, but then it depends who gets the lock position.
I read that Mcqueen wanted it and he seems most likely. So if Mcqueen plays good mins at lock, Taia & Proctor are basically 80 min edge forwards, and Ryan James continues to avg close to 60 mins... that doesn't leave a whole lot left for Wallace + the three forwards on the bench.
I like Wallace as a player, he is solid. I don't see him suddenly becoming a beast of a prop thought, and I just don't think he will see the rise that some others are expecting/forecasting.

Jai field has been added on at bottom price in NRL Supercoach and VSDT. I believe he has more upside then Hingano who may turn out to be a trap with Foran looming.

Less likely to pick Hingano in SC or DT since it takes 3 games for price rises. With price rises from game one Higano can make some cash before being traded out if Foran misses any more than 5 games

@ Random re Wallace
No L. Douglas, G. Bird, Shillington & Paasi injured till around round 6. Pettybourne is old, Peturu is raw & Pulu is more of an edge forward. I reckon Wallace could get 45-50 mins. Price at an av of 30.7 so should make some cash.
