Wasn't it Mbye blowing up at Lichaa that time, and deadset Mbye had some pretty average options as well.

Just to clarify, they are probably my 2 favourite Dogs players, but the way Mbye blew up was pretty fucked (or was it JReyn).

I can remember JRey flying off the handle at Lichaa a few times after passes were going to feet

Yeah must have been JReyn not MBye.

    Fuck JReyn.

haha yeah he had been set in my team quite firmly, but I watched that trial vs the Broncos and the comments Flanno made afterward and he became Lamb for the same price pretty damn fast.

Also saying that they really need to sign Seggy so they obviously know that their hooking situation isn't going to work how they want it too

What price would Segeyaro be if he was added to the system? I mean I'm currently running with King as my 2nd HOK and I'd have to drastically shift the makeup of my draft team to fit even a mid-priced guy in but if he had a good enough discount then he could be pretty tempting.

Got to feel a bit sorry for Morts. Good opportunity to secure a spot in first grade as the number 1 pick for Hooker and he blows it.

Also during my late night examinations of my fantasy team I was wondering what people's thoughts on PG13 was? I mean he's no longer playing rep games and Sharks play in two major bye rounds so he could be pretty handy as a POD to start the year.
In saying that though his injury history always makes him a sketchy choice in the early season and if it's his last season it's hard to tell whether he'll go hard or if his scores/minutes will drop like CP13's did. I mean I guess best thing to do would be wait and see how he does then pick him up when his price drops if he's good but you know just putting it out there he could be a nice left of field choice to pick from day one.

I have had him in most of my team lists.

I reckon without origin, he is a good choice

He missed the trial due to a sore neck from contact training. Just couldn't deal with the late withdrawals to start the season or the three week injuries. Will look at him in the lead up to origin. If he stays on the field he would be a good pick and should average around 55

    Hi All!

I’ve been soaking up the boards for the past few weeks and figured it was time to make an official reappearance.

Firstly, congrats to Shanbon for your new little one. Our own tiny human popped out about three weeks ago, so it’s nappies and boobs everywhere at the mo. I’ve been struggling for time, but fantasy football actually fits into the 20 minute mini breaks quite well.

I’ve been slowly chiseling away at my team and have come up with something that I actually quite like. It’s low on top-shelf guns, but I think I’ve managed to get a reasonable starting 17 together with a bit of upside and depth in most positions. I’m also loving all the bargain fallen guns in the backs, I feel like I’m rocking a dream team backline already, albeit one from three or four years ago. I’ve also entirely neglected the byes, will deal with those later. Hopefully I can sit on this lineup until TLT and save weeks of needless overthinking.

Lone Scout’s template was pretty helpful to start with as he already had about half of the players I wanted. I opted out of a classy backup hooker because I always like to start with two guns in the halves. I’ve gone for the same two as last year, although Thurston could make a late play for selection. Hopefully DCE makes it past round 1 this time! PeterMat + Elgey could be Cow + Lamb, but there isn’t too much on offer at the basement price for WFBs and I want to have some reasonable cover back there. I know the forwards are a bit light but I’m pretty happy with the spread. JTurbo will probably become Maguire if he gets named at lock for round 1.

Most importantly, this team passes my “aesthetic symmetry” test, which I’ve found essential for delivering personal fantasy fulfillment and satisfaction…

    C Smith (C), C King
    G Burgess, J Waerea-Hargreaves, (J Wallace), S Hoare
    D Klemmer, J Trbojevic, E Taylor, (K Bromwich), (S Mata’utia), J Stimson
    D Cherry-Evans (VC), B Hunt, (K Elgey), S Nona
    K Hurrell, J Idris, B Kelly, C Scott
    J Hayne, R Tuivasa-Sheck, B Slater, Peter Mata’utia, K Ponga

    2k in the bank.

Thanks for continuing to be a great source of news and information. Looking forward to sharing the lows and the highs with you all again from Moscow!

    So the dreams have started

Last night I dreamed that Josh McGuire scored a first round 78. 4 tbs and a heap of tackles.

I remember not having in my team, but not being surprised at his score. It is def possible

Does Maguire playing lock actually change anything?

He played 58 minutes a game last year. I can't see more minutes with Gillett playing 80, Glenn and Thaiday on the other side (with Thaiday playing some prop as well maybe) and Arrow on the bench who is pretty much wasted as a bench player if he's only playing 20-25 minutes at lock. Tackles might go up a bit but he'll get pushed back to 3rd or 4th hitup on the set and I would imagine he would have done quite a few 2 hitups per set at start of games in 2016.

James Hooper reporting Slater won't be ready for round 1. Bit of a pain as I want either him or Munster but if it is looking like changing a couple of weeks into the comp it'll probably be best to pass on both.

So Munster fullback and Croft as 5/8th for a few games?

Either that or Young FB and Munster 5/8th. A crystal ball would be nice because Slater or Munster at FB for more than a few rounds will be fantasy gold.
