Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 5
I believe Sarginson was having trouble with his feet and wasn't going to be right for rnd 1. something about struggling to adjust to the harder playing surfaces in Aus.
edit: here is the link - http://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/sport/nrl/gold-coast-titans-recruit-dan-sarginsons-maiden-nrl-preseason-derailed-by-unfamiliar-football-boots/news-story/88264e99e248c587be6ba418c6362fba
it says he should be right for round 1. though could be one of those things that never gets 'right'.

FWIW Sargison is never going to make it the NRL. Lightweight, error-prone, up himself. Massively overrated after a couple of good months a few yearsback. Look on Wigan forums what they thought of him, even before he signed to go to Australia. Couldn't believe their luck that Gold Coast took him off their hands.
Wardle on the other hand has a decent chance of making it (in real life. He's a solid not flashy centre, won't be fantasy relevant).

Does anyone know how Kodi Nikorima is getting on with his injury? Is he expected to be fit for round 1?

Would the Charity Shield count as a match served under JDB's suspension? Could use that as a loophole

I'm calling it, JDB won't miss a match for that.

So it's looking more and more likely that Bolton will get Tamou's starting spot at the Cowboys. Does this make him a must have?

I've seen nothing concrete but I have read that he won't be ready to start the season. Take that with a grain of salt though.

Trials have always counted for suspensions havent they? So JDB even if he gets a week should be right rd1

Even though he's starting will he get more than 45 mins plus he's classified as a 2fr which puts me off him. Maybe if he was a frf I'd consider him & at 323k I'd rather go with K-Brom because if he starts in Proctor's position he's much better value than Bolton.

I probably asked this before but does Taumalolo have upside? Another year more experienced and if adds more attacking stats could be good

Have seen people selecting Ponga in their sides. Have I missed something? Is one of Coote, Feldt, Linnett, O'Neill or Winterstein injured? I can't see him getting a run unless there is an injury to one of those players.

Some interesting results from the NRL Fantasy Fanatics Twitter page player polls @NRLFantasyForum
Only 56% of people are currently running with Cam Smith, 74% are running with Sam Burgess and currently 37%** are running with Andrew Fifita.
**(poll is still active)

Lack of better options plus maybe just hoping for the long con of him getting an extended run through injury later in the year. He's cheap enough to be held onto and is probably better than taking someone like Uate for the sake of having a playing player

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 5
Has anyone put any consideration into TMM as a potential money maker or even future gun? I like the look of him in my team but I'm concerned about his lack of KM and reliance on attacking stats. However with the panthers looking as good as they are this may not be an issue.
Thoughts?

Too much attacking stats reliant though I thought Soward made him suck so could be worth a punt
