Yea could be more productive beside Cleary. Brooks is probably the only other half in that price bracket worth looking at but he's played quite a few games more than TMM so his scores are probably more accurate with less potential to improve.

Is Luke Keary fantasy relevant? Likewise James Maloney?

i am tempted by keary, new club could mean a change in performance.
but pearce is a real dominant half with kicks and and in the red zone that its hard to see enough scraps left over for him.
in saying that, he should be worth more than the 300k. as his ppm is 0.47 * 80 = 37avg rather than the 32 he is priced at.

Hmm, I expect Roosters to go well so he might see some good scoring on the back of attacking points but he doesn't really bust tackles nor does he kick much so it would be an up and down rollercoaster if you had him. I'd be steering clear.

    Yes, clearly you have.

Fairly well know fact now that both Ponga and Connor Watson are the next Immortals in waiting after carving up the recent 9 a side muck around competition.

Should get some teamlists for this weekends trials today and a few might be reasonably close to full strength.

I can't wait for the excitement and drama to unfold as a few traps are put up by coaches today.

And right away we have a full strength Cowboys squad named:

"Green said the team he has selected is close to what his round one team will be. “I’ve said all along that this trial is our last proper hit-out before round one,” Green said."

COWBOYS TEAM: John Asiata, Scott Bolton, Gavin Cooper, Lachlan Coote, Kyle Feldt, Jake Granville, Ben Hampton, Coen Hess, Sam Hoare, Patrick Kaufusi, Kane Linnett, Ethan Lowe, Michael Morgan, Justin O’Neill, Matt Scott, Jason Taumalolo, Johnathan Thurston, Antonio Winterstein.

pretty much as expected. one of those forwards will drop out of the 17 come round 1.

No real surprises there. All the talk of Ponga being named for round 1 can finally be put to rest then.

Wallace will still play prop no? How does that affect him

McQueen had been touted for lock (and personally said he wanted it). If Taia is gone it may mean McQueen back to 2RF meaning minutes opened up in the middle of the park.

Again, I don't know who this Greenwood guy is and whether he would be part of the titans 17 or not.

One can only hope one of them is dropped. Having Ponga playing and hopefully making some cash for Fantasy would certainly help out my WFB NPRs with the uncertainty surrounding python. Suppose we will know come TLT.

Brown has said all Pythian needs to do is not suck in the Knights trial game and he will be handed the FB jersey for Round 1.

If named do you risk him in your starting 17 or just stick him in your NPRs and hope he isn't Feeney v2?

I think Wallace will probably take the Lock spot at this stage. It's not too different from prop and he was put there in a trial game. McQueen isn't the most efficient tackler so I don't think he'll suit moving from the edge to the middle as much.

    'Cherry' ripe for captaincy

Prop forward Brenton Lawrence – who is a member of Manly's leadership group – told NRL.com the halfback's elevation to skipper made perfect sense given what he had already achieved at the club.

"He's got a great head on his shoulders and a big, strong neck to support that head," Lawrence joked.

If you name Phythian in your 17, who are the 2 WFBs in your team you consider weaker than him (or do you have 4+ WFBs in your playing 17)

My gut feel is if you are starting the python your NPRs must be pretty weak which is probably a bad idea regardless
