because they want/hope/expect Wallace to retain the lock position after Paasi returns.

1. Alex Johnston 2. Bryson Goodwin 3. Jamel Hunt 4. Siosifa Talakai 5. Braidon Burns 6. Cody Walker 7. Adam Reynolds 8. George Burgess 9. Robbie Farah 10. David Tyrrell 11. John Sutton 12. Kyle Turner 13. Sam Burgess 14. Damien Cook 15. Jason Clark 16. Thomas Burgess 17. Zane Musgrove 18. Anthony Cherrington 19. Angus Crichton 20. Robert Jennings 21. Luke Kelly
Looks promising for Gurgess there, if he can keep that starting spot
Based on that you'd think Johnston to wing for Burns when Inglis comes in would be the way, giving Talaki first shot at centre.

Warriors - looks like the earlier report of Mannering to 2nd row to cover Bodene/Hoffman might be off the money.
For dogs, who will be no 5? Brenko Lee?
I'm assuming 7 = Mbye and 12 = Eastwood.
And from last week and this it would seem Garvey preferred over Woolford as backup hooker, and there was little substance to the pre-season articles talking up Woolford.

i've fixed it up. copied it from LU. Brenko Lee is the 4, holland 5. Mbye and Eastwood is correct
Not sure if there is anything to read into Lisone starting/Vete bench. One of those two could definitely score well to start the year if they got the minutes. But it would be a risky punt.. Bodene obvs to return to backrow and Matulino eventually.

Have you not played this game before.
Every year there are a few players with mass expectations of massive uptick in fantasy performance based on some flimsy reasoning. Wallace is no different to every other PPM king who is going to kill it on the promise of a few extra minutes.

You don't need him for round 1 in any way, shape or form.
All you have to do during the season is win enough games to make the finals, then have everyone fit and firing for the run home. If you need every player to turn up every week then you are doing it wrong.

Bren wrote:Dave Taylor at 233k. Or is the Raiders forward rotation too stacked to even bother considering him? If Fensom can't even get a spot what are the chances DT can?
DT could make the Raiders into a premiership winning team, Fensom doesn't quite have the same potential effect. If Ricky can make Taylor play at his best consistently he's a shoe in to make the 17

What do we think Bolton will average if he does start at prop and plays around 45-55 mins?

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 5
I have Wallace in my team but it has nothing to do with minutes, nor him playing lock, i have always thought he would get 40-45min (if he plays lock and pumps out 55min fantastic). My pick is all about his role and way he was used by the Broncos and how that changes at the Titans.
I dont like PPM stat, and i dont see too many players increasing minutes this year. I think coaches have almost worked out the best way to use the reduced interchange and that seems to be finding a big minute lead middle forward and rotating the rest through at similar minutes. Where possible they will give their edge back rowers a little break

I was wondering why so many teams had King in their side. I've only JUST realised that he is only $138k.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 5
I read the other day the Knights were in talks with Fensom before they signed Tupou, Canberra were happy to release him from last year of contract and pay a substantial amount of this seasons salary but Fensom wanted at least 2 years and the Knights only 1. Pity for fantasy purpose that didnt come off.

Played 7 games over 40 minutes and scored around 265-7 which averaged out to around 37.2
I did this on my phone and I probably miscounted a score but seems accurate. Just doesn't have a high work rate

I don't see Wallace as a massive risk - I think he starts at lock or prop (whether Paasi is there or not). If he's playing lock, there's obvious potential for improvement. If he's playing prop, he should get more minutes than he was at the Broncos anyway. I think he has less potential downside than a lot of other midrange players people are looking at.
