Winterstein, Simpkins Hingano Olive Pynthian are all rubbish fantasywise. Just because they is cheap doesn't make them a cash cow.

Questions marks around Elgey and Rennings wont play at the start of the season.

Addressing this will take you more than half a season to resolve

Biggest concern would be Lane/Kennedy/Taupau relegating him to the bench

    Wasn't that with a try?

Scored a try in a different game (32 points in 57 minutes off the bench)

His base stats aren't superb- but they are good enough for a cheapish cash cow - given the dearth of base price options we look like getting at the moment.

Its job security rather than scoring ability that worries me. Could well be on the bench or out of the team by round 3.

Few choice words from Isaac Luke, wants to play 80 this year, fitness issues from last year behind him, has dropped 4 kilos.

Quote from kearney also saying this weekend will be as close to round 1 as possible including interchange times/etc

    Lawrence at 5/8th. What rubbish.
He'll never play there during the season. why not Rankin?

Chee-Kam taking his spot over Aloiai. A sign for pecking order come season proper?

he played 80 a fair amount last year (12 of his 20 games were 74+ minutes)

But if he does that consistently, as well as takes over the goal kicking - then he looks OK.
Certainly to be considered along with Peats/McCullough/McInnes as a possibility.

I dont know what to make of chee kam. He was centre in the last trial and running at centre in the top squad training videos.

Seems like hes forever "next in line" for multiple positions hahah

yeah agree. i've considered him, the DPP is an incentive. also the goal kicking will hopefully add some consistent points. Always worried about him getting hurt though, but i guess you shouldnt plan for injuries. He does seem to be over his problems.. Problem is he's not the type of player to explode with a tonne of TB's, or crab across field racking them up. He's the player who will put his body on the line with a hard run straight into the defense but it doesn't equate to fantasy points. Might get a few Try Assists tipping on to Oates though Very Happy

Except the broncs pet play is boyd's face ball to the wing, so he may be decoy for a bunch of those attacking plays. sure its not all they have in the repertoire, but it comes out a lot...

Kahu playing CTR ceiling around 35 points? GK and extra defensive points - sound unreasonable?

    Ceiling or average?

Can easily pump out 50+ as a ceiling

I think his average will be around the 35 mark once you factor in goal kicking.

Played centre last 7 games of last year. Got injured in the first 2, but in the next 5 he averaged 41 points (did majority of goal kicking over Parker in these games)

Had some much poorer scores at centre earlier in the year (including a negative 1) but he never completed 80 minutes in those games

Winterstein helped off, injured leg. No one seemed too concerned though.

Hess has come on to replace him.. doesnt help to work out rotations at all..
