I haven't seen Scott Bolton mentioned much, averages a healthy 34 off 35 mins. Presumably his minutes will go up to approx 45 which could have him averaging in the low 40s. Has dpp status as well which is handy.

Good work MS, Prior continuing his good minutes he received at the back end of last year, Wary about the LAM effect, same with DSaifiti and think I would have Prior behind him and Gurgess! But he is a player I keep coming back tomultiple.scoregasms wrote:24 mins Fifi off Bukuya on

Wade Graham worth a punt?, always seems to do well. Also Guerra at the same price, trying to find someone to downgrade Lolo too

Mmmmm both teams well beaten this year, albeit intruiging Ref efforts. Now the 2 meet in round 1.

poor ref calls yes and the commentary is hidiously biased but Wigan marmalised the Sharks in the middle, completely outmuscled themRevraiser wrote:Mmmmm both teams well beaten this year, albeit intruiging Ref efforts. Now the 2 meet in round 1.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
I only got to watch the first half but other then a skinny 10m at times I though the ref was ok. Sharks had a lot of ball but their movements were slow, I think that starts with the dummy half both guys like to either take a step first or if passing from the ground really load up the pass.
The Wigan 5/8 looks a really good player, strong defense.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
brailey at 50 mins looks tempting. if he can get a 30 avg thats worth an npr. should make 100k by week 4
brown at 30 mins may not be as good a pick, but he would feature if injuries happen to the halves and also during origin if maloney get rep
need another look at pritchard and his mins before making a decision. but im probs going smith+cheapie combo this year, even if its a npr

Yeah I'm worried he could turn out like LAM. Didn't fall into that trap last year but I remember people were debating between LAM, J Turbo and one other guy as a value FRF that could make the jump to gun status or at least make some cash.
I'm just going to run with Prior anyway though. Good offloads and hit some really good form late last year for the premiers. Better signs than LAM to me so yeah why not

Prior's good minutes last year (and last night) correspond very well with Tagataese being injured.
Prior's average with Tagataese in the team - 31 (19 games)
Prior's average without Tagataese in the team - 49 (6 games) (that average is spiked by a 74 in the finals when Graham got injured early and Prior had to play 73 minutes, and scored a try)
I think Prior is a bigger trap than Saifiti, Wallace or Gurgess.

Are people seriously considering Bunty Afoa? He's $301k and hardly cash cow.
True that might be value if eh can keep a starting spot, but surely Bodene slots straight back in when fit.

I was talking him up yesterday after the trial, haven't seen much other mention of him. I'm not actually considering him. You would need some kind of assurance he would keep the 2rf spot for a while to actually take a punt on him.

I'd be tempted to go with Brailey also. I haven't seen the game yet, but what options do the sharks have? Putting him in means I can upgrade McGuire to Mannering.

Ouch I'm already running with Wallace and Gurgess. Might as well call my team Admiral Ackbar if I run with Prior as well but hey this year there's no real big standouts anyway so might as well have some fun and roll the dice.

I agree mate. Prior only got big mins at the end of 2016 because Tagataese was injured. I also believe D. Saifiti could be a trap because the Knights will be like the Warriors re their front row rotation. Both back rows for the Warriors & Knights play big mins at least 70+ which leaves 4 props rotating 160 mins. Wallace looked like a slug yesterday. He looked like he's stacked on the weight & looked slow & not very mobile so I can't see him playing lock. Gurgess looks like he'll only get 40-45 mins & he wasn't very impressive. I am also thinking Vaughan is a trap as well & will only get 40-45 mins especially if McInnes becomes an 80 min hooker. Some of the mid range options which looked promising are now looking like traps.

Toafofoa Sipley (nice name) could be a cheapie on the Warriors bench
