Johnny B Goode wrote:Regarding Elijah Taylor what's the pre-season talk been around him? Is he expected to become a real leader of the Tigers pack this year/play bigger minutes? Because I looked at his average last year playing 70+ minutes or very close to it and he averaged 53.3 on base stats not including the occasional linebreak/try/assist.

If he's tipped to play big minutes and the Tigers now have the benefit of having a whole pre-season to work on incorporating ET's ball playing skills into their game plan then he could become an appealing option. The more I think about it the more I feel like he's got to be in my team but just wondering if there's any risks I'm not seeing.

little risk with ET priced at 42 averaged 48 with the tigers. avg is affected by limited minutes on Panthers interchange at start of last season

At this stage have picked Klemmer if he starts at lock which has allowed me to replace Elgey with TMM.
Think they both could be in for good seasons. Whether that relates to fantasy I have no idea.

I know Elgey is a good cash cow and there are better gun options than Klemmer just thought I'd be creative.

TMM will be rocks and diamonds, hardly a sniff of any km, on a day where his attacking output is low he will struggle to score in the 20s

Now that's the kind of useful info I'm after. Sezer is an option around that price but who knows what's going on with him

Now i know a certain Brit Mod who will try and convince you otherwise, but IMO Sezers fantasy glory days are behind him. There is a chance that he feels more comfortable in the team and has a higher involvement, or that perhaps having the goal kicking duties for the first few weeks gives him a boost in confidence sure, but I personally just think he scores less for us because he plays a different role in the team.

    Cheers for the insight Archer.

Think I'm just gonna go in circles atm.

Seems like a long journey to get from Brailey in Round 1 to Cameron Smith for the run home post Origin.

I agree but TMM averaged his BE in 4 games without the big debut and injury game. Could be his floor

Now I'm looking at Maloney, surely he isn't that bad. I would have thought a competition winning half would be up there with the best.

No one has talked much about him

Perhaps to put some more closure on the Hoffman situation he was on the radio today saying scans cleared him of major injury over the weekend - although in almost the same breath he did say he had scans yesterday while the rest of the team was out on the boat saving that swimmer (big ups to Matt Alwood - but sadly that'll be his lot for the year one would think!!). I guess that is just standard process to confirm what the first scans said over the weekend?

Anyway, sounded like he was good to go.

Haven't noticed anyone mention Greg Inglis.

Happens to fit exactly in my cap in current team...basically him or Tommy Trbo. Surely GI is a more secure scorer, with Souths also having plenty of room to improve on attack too? Downside, terrible byes.

I like Maloney, and maybe he gets better attacking stats without Barba and Ennis. Has potential to bust out 70 point games and quick boost in price. He does miss a shitload of tackles though.

Entering into the twin cam hooker discussion

If you go twin cam and Brailey hits 35-45 scores regularly. At what point do McInnes owners decide that the brailey cash potential is too much to ignore. You have set and forget hookers but the object of the early rounds in this game is too make as much money as you can as quickly as you can, and brailey fits that's bill for me. Who else has the potential to make money in the early rounds

I personally am going brailey and Gallen if brailey stinks it up or seggy emerges or some other issue affects him I will sell Gallen for McInnes, I have 50k play in price difference, and then pick up the cheapest 2nd rower who is emerging as a cow.

I think buy doing this I am effectively buying myself 2 weeks to look at brailey and McInnes scores, plus insurance on braileys low scores plus I get 2 weeks look at a cheap second rower.
If brailey goes gang busters then I won't sell Gallen.

I'm definitely a fan, and am hoping he takes on more responsibility like at the roosters. Had a very good average when he was there.

How long does Inglis' knees hold out though?

Breakeven of 35, but almost guaranteed to get you 40+- not a great increase but a base to upgrade from, who plays all the big byes. Only drawback is injury-prone. POD status through the roof. Because, it's Tim Mannah, right? Still a good buy IMO, just not one to have ahead of Gurgess etc.

Has been in my front row along with Gurgess and Fifita for about 10 days. Byes and slightly underpriced are hard to ignore

Sutton worth a punt. 80mins, could do well of Farah at hooker and a Rabbitohs team in better form. Where are you Rabbit?
