Yeah a big reason why it looks way more appealing. As well as generating cash in the HOK position that I wasn't sold I could make in the FRF.

Exactly. He was coming back from injury last year and with a full pre season under his belt I don't see why he can't bounce back to his previous years average (other then 2016) at least.

Welshy wrote:Fifita and Smith are maxed out price/scoring so you get what you pay an arm and a leg for...people say I'm running Fifita for less scores but saving but you ain't really saving because you are scoring less points. You would gain the most by not running CS9 or Fifita and finding someone like JDB or Mcinnes and be brave enough to captain them when they are scoring at there highest scoring potential (JDB 67 avg when 60+ minute lock and Mcinnes 60 avg playin 65+ minutes) that way you are replacing CS9s and Fifitas scoring potential and saving a shit tonne of money to spread elsewhere. Ultimate risk reward strategy but leaving out both completely is madness and I don't know what I'm talking about

There's also the fact though that choosing Smith and Fifita from the start, they are locked in your team and that's 2 trades you save in the long run if you want to bring them in later. My thinking is get as many guns in as you can that are going to be keepers from the start and try and shoot for the right rookies. Obviously there is potential for the keepers getting injuries and suspensions forcing trades anyway, but I don't think you can really think and worry about the what ifs that much.

    2014: 35.7 (23 games, 51 mins) - 1 try
2015: 44.5 (19 games, 47 mins) - had two big scores in the back half of the season boosted by tries(68 & 77, they were his only tries for the season though)
    2016: 34.8 (injury affected season, 14 games, 48 mins) - did a nudie run

    edit bloody beaten haha

i think i started him in 2014 after he had a good 2013 and I thought he could boost a little on that, though I was sadly mistaken.

    further more:
    2014: 106m, 28.6 tackles (38 pts)
    2015: 122m, 27.8 tackles (39 pts)
    2016: 120m, 26.7 tackles (38 pts)

his workrate on base stats hasn't really changed over the last three seasons. In 2015 he had a much higher attacking output (offloads, tb's, etc)

Thanks boys. A 45 for his price tag would be quite nice.

I think TRBO will be a better buy than Holmes, but due to cash restrictions I have Holmes. I have some reservations about how valuable he'll actually be. I have a feeling he's just going to teeter around the 300k mark, returning those scores that kind of hurt your total but aren't bad enough to dump him. I think the Sharks might start the year slowly due to new combinations and it won't help Holmes with attacking points. Reading the reports of manly trials (trial form grain of salt etc) TRBO is fully fit and looking sharp. My gut feel is telling me French will bust out some big scores early in the year but I don't know if I can do it.

Ive gone french over holmes for sure.

I've gone Holmes over French, but wouldn't mind going TTurbo, but can't find the extra 100K.
