I think the biggest variety this year will stem from hooker.
2 of Smith/McInnes/Brailey looks to be very common. But the price difference between them means there will be flow on effects for what the rest of the team looks like.
Throw in Farah, McCullough and maybe Ballin/Parra option and there is a bit of choice.
WFB will be very samey though. Almost everyone will run with Hayne, RTS, ???, Phythian, cheapie.

How long will they persist with Munster at 6 is the question.

Pretty much. Tohu gets through a big defensive workload so Smith is going to be even busier.

Re-shuffle to fit Kbrom in
Norman -> Moses
Gutherson -> Holmes
Hmmm is it worth it?

KBrom is that awkward price that is so tough to fit in really.

Has it been confirmed he'll be the 6? I was really hoping he'd be FB, I'm starting to get a Watmough like feeling about Slater.Milchcow wrote:

I don't think so. Not sold on Guth anyway. Wouldn't downgrade Norman to get him in.

Tonumaipea could be an interesting option now. I think he should get the number 1 jersey won't he?

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
I guess we'll never know who was preferred on the edge for storm prior to this Harris injury. To me it would seem that Kaufusi was getting that spot and Kbrom was going to continue off the bench largely as a middle forward (perhaps playing a bit of edge to spell Kaufusi). Kbrom played all his mins in the last trial as a middle forward.
I guess there is a chance it stays that way too. Perhaps Stimson or even NAS grabs the spot vacated by Harris..
Who is the real winner in terms of minutes? Its always hard to get a read on the Storm team, hardly any press comes out of training down there.
How long has Harris had the injury? It seems the only reason it came to light is the Storm season launch this morning and Harris couldn't get up on stage with the other players.

To be honest, Bellamy needs to realise that the Storm look better with Croft at 6, and Munster at 1.
My gut is telling me to pick Croft as a sleeper (should get 1 or 2 games during Origin minimum, but on the most part for me, I just don't see Billy lasting).
I pretty much have the Croft price range as my last piece of the puzzle in my halves and squad, and would be 100% happy with my squad if he could get the spot cemented.

One of my good mates down here (when I first moved down I struggled to find any league fans, all followed that other shit) is a Kiwi lad who follows Melbourne religiously. We have had this discussion regarding Munster at 6 numerous times.
I personally am of the opinion that it is detrimental to him as a young player. Great season last year at FB learning the ropes and showed that he is most definitely their future so why bother moving him into 6 for a season? They have Croft available who would surely benefit from some FG experience for an extended period and they also picked up Jerome Hughes from the Cows in the off-season, pretty sure he is a HLF come FB.
He is of the opinion that it's Billy Slater, you do whatever he wants. If he wants to play injured for the next 1 or 2 seasons and in and out of the side that's fine because he's Slater and the best FB of the modern era. Surely sooner or later people (and Slater himself) realises that that is not the best thing for the team and, in fact, probably undermining the good work already done and depriving some promising young guys of an opportunity.

I dont see much changing for KBrom, seems to have spent pre-season in the middle would be moving a lot around to get him out wide and bring another middle guy through when they could just use the other wide backrowers that have trained there in pre-season. Does NAS have the fitness?
