you'd think one of starting forwards plays 80 because the only way to sub them all off is for one of them to not return. eg kaufusi plays 60 mins straight up then doesnt come back on. tahts a possibly but its pretty rare for coaches to do that. you usually want to start and end the game with the best pack possible.

the other possibility is similar to when JDB come on after 20 mins and played out the game.

Six out of 9 games at home. Great early draw for the Cowboys & opposition teams have to put up with the heat & travel. I know Coote &/or JT haven't been mentioned much on here but they could be great early picks. With Hayne looking unlikely to play round 1 if you can afford the extra 80k (Hayne to Coote) it could be Coote for your 3rd wfb.

Even though this is the case in terms of easy draw, points are shared between Morgan, JT and Coote and sometimes they just get mediocre scores. I was all for picking up a 60 minute hess on the edge due to the draw and ability to jag a try but now with Fensom I have gone cold on all Cowboys for now. JT is worth a shot but not over Norman whom everything will go through and who will score at least 20 points in kick metres (400m) every game, 1 TA on average, 2TBs, 15 tackles not to mention he only scored 1 try last year. Should be safe for a minimum of 40-45 per game and the ability to go 65+.

JT misses far too many tackles, much like Bunt, which kill there scores when they are sitting on 40 at half time and you think they will kick on and get 65+ it just doesn't happen.

Considering running with both KBrom and Faufusi. Potential for both to make some cash. Is anyone else doing the same? Feel a little bit silly running with two backrowers from the same club.

has its merits. there is a big winner there somewhere, though it could even be stimson if bellamy wants to continue to use kbrom as a middle man.

i have kaufusi, i'm not overly sold on him but i think he can make 100k+ (just needs to avg 32) and will be DPP by tomorrow night. If Stimson comes into the reckoning then he's an easy choice for 6th 2rf.

as mentioned above I reckon slade griffin might find his way into the 17

I don't think that's silly as they're both essentially cash cows & if they both start should see a significant increase in mins.

My current reserves are Kaufausi, KBrom, Sione and Brailey (not sold on him at all).

If Broncos don't have a utility named on the bench I'm axing him and going with Smith/Macca combo

This is what will happen with Kaufusi I would imagine, much like the Tigers last year or year before Lovett would play first 40 be subbed at halftime never to return. Its pretty easy to manage as the Storm have an 80 minute hooker.

On Smith, anyone think that Smith actually gets more kick metres this year? I mean he is left footed, cronk right footed, left side half if munster I would imagine won't kick anywhere near Blake Green's average of 100m per game if at all, Smiths average km could go from 147m (7 points) up to 240m (12 points), since he will know that defence will target Cronk's kicks I'd imagine he will be proactive and kick even more out of dummy half. This could offset the Storm's attack reducing given the loss of Harris and Proctor.

Would love for NAS to grab one of the edge 2RF slot. Looked very explosive in the trial but I'm not sure if he could handle any more than 50-60 minutes

    K-Brom average mins 2016 = 43 & could see 55-65 mins in 2017
    F. Kaufusi average mins 2016 = 29 & could see 55-65 mins in 2017

I see no reason not to start both in your team. I have Kaufusi but will take Afoa over K-Brom if Bodene's injury is worse than we know. Or I could even take bot K-Brom & Afoa.

Speaking of Bodene. No one really knows what's going on with him & there has been nothing really said about it. Usually you get rumours flying around with injured players but there has been nothing. Maybe it worse than we think but the Warriors don't want the truth getting out. This could be worse than Hillary Clinton's emails.

Depends how many other cheapies are named. Can't really afford to run with a dead spot in your 25 so if they are the cheapest two options and you start them then you will have 2 NPR centres

Nope, passing on Talakai as already 40K above minimum. Would rather a gun/potential gun in each position despite the plethora of cash cow options at centre, remember wingers like Nabuli, E Lee etc are just not worth it so maybe if no centres are named e.g Scott, Kelly, Cotric.

I am. This year the ctrs seem to be where the cash cows are & to a lesser extent wfb. Cotric, Phythian, Lawton, Ponga, Suli, Moga, MCK, Kelly, Scott, Talakai, Idris, Whare.
