Not sure how you play it safe this year with the player prices on offer.Bren wrote:Is anybody else playing it safe to start the year or just going all out balls to the wall?
I get a constant feeling the wall is about to collapse.

Holmes potentially out (though I could hold him the week), French has all the makings of being a dud, but gut feel also saying he can rack up points. I don't have the money to spend higher than those two, without hurting another position (unless I run dual cheapies at ctr, got Dylan Walker there at the moment)... and nor do I want to run a cheapie at wfb..
Oates is super intriuging if he gets a go in 2rf.

Not sure about Brailey. What do you do if Seggie turns up in three weeks time or he just doesn't deliver the goods for a while? Major team fixing I'd think.
I'd like to run with him, but not convinced. Might speculate on a proven cheaply priced first grader like Ballin.

I suspect TLT is going to generate more questions then give answers.
Thoughts on:
TTurbo & NPR
or
Gutherson & Elgy

Cheers mate, i want Guth in my team... maybe at the expense of Tturbo. Something has to give.
Milchy is one of my favourite posters. Everything he says makes a lot of sense. Quality stuff.

Not sure but he looked great in the trial I watched, turned them around a few times out of dummy half.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
Guerra is an interesting one if he plays at 13.
Averaged 68 minutes last year in various positions.
Playing 80 minutes alone should be enough to see his average go from 44 to 50, even before you take his position into consideration. Also only scored 4 tries last year, which I'd guess is low for him.
Not someone I find immediately attractive still.

Not a league fan was stirring, not even a mouse
The lists were all brainstormed and researched with care,
In hopes that Mitchell Pearce, would be laying off the beer
The fanatics were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of 51 parties still stuck in their head
And Calculations were done to stay under the cap,
Looking at figures, no time to fap
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters, and threw up the sash.
Too see a large Wookie, a panda, a rabbit
A broken tv even SI dang nabbit
So what else to do on such a glorius night
But to remake my team and get ready to fight
That's gold!!!

Yeah I can see TLT creating errors in team selection.
We all have a gut feel now what a club's medium term best 17 probably looks like so have to remember to back that gut despite seeing interesting names in the 21 that will inevitably be named for a lot of teams!

Teams are listed with an expected starting 17 and then the other 4. I don't think there will be too many problems understanding the people most likely to start.
