Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
I got Sam Stone mixed up with that Dennison (Winger) when i was talking about it last night. I still think Yates has more upside, played a full year of NSW cup last year and his stats at lock in 2015 NYC looked good. Stone played NYC last year 2nd row, stats are ok but considering its NYC attack stats (LBs OF) look down and his miss tackles where fairly high in some games.

Not sure if you were on FB Mentors or not? Well, I don't know all the history, but a small number of the diehard and high performing Mentors group went into a further group called Legends. 60 members roughly year in year out. Arsen actually got me in there as it is invite only. You will see them on the rankings no doubt as Legends L1 or LGND or whatever prefix. Filth Sash Bullbender went through there. MS myself R0bDog TMan and a couple of others on here are still in there.
I got the boot from Legends haha. Hardly making a comment or post in 2 years did the trick!
Have just signed up here to get into a league for this year. Good to see plenty of the old Sportal lads around and heaps of good discussion.

I'm sure you wouldn't outdo Tombsy for lack of posting on there. ST finally handed his notice in last year! They have culled that extra League they added in 2015 so back down to 60 members from 70 odd last year.
Wonderful place though, very similar community to here

Luke Yates is listed at 94kg on Knights website, he looks much bigger than that so surely that stat can't be right

I just realised Curtis Sironen is my highest predicted improver in the 2RF position, better book myself into a mental asylum.

Also, what do people think about DCE? I've picked him up, haven't really seen much love for him.
Think he is in for a good year, just a gut instinct.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
Not many teams running SJ form the get go, seems to be a common myth that people will 'get him cheaper' because the Warriors start slow. He averaged 56 over the first 5 rounds last year and 51 over the first 10.
Whats more interesting is he averaged a whopping 65 from rounds round 13 through 21.
If his team mates stay healthy i think he has a bit more upside then the other top halves, and his low scores (price wise) are negated by his big ones.

He's one of the options in thinking of upgrading Moses and downgrading D Walker to a nuff or getting Teddy instead of Holmes/French etc

Yep. I had every intention of starting with Pearce until a week or two ago which I switched to SJ to save some coin and upgrade elsewhere

I have him & you always see comments such as "the SJ rollercoaster" but as you posted he was very consistent last year & he was carving up even when he wasn't taking the gk.

I have Cleary at the moment. Last year SJ started well according to those stats. I had him the year before, and maybe the year before as well when he was terrible early.
He looked great in that trial last week so I am considering booting Cleary for him-SJ has more upside and is proven, as opposed to Cleary.

Klemmer is flying under the radar but the problem is he'll play origin but if your keen on him then go with your gut. He averaged 54 mins in 2016 but with a permanent move to lock he could even push to 60 mins. I was keen on Hess & had him in my team until they signed Fensom. I still might go back to him if Fensom isn't named in the 17. Hess averaged 49 mins in 2016 & with the Cowboys stating they want to more mins in 2017 he could push to 55 mins.

I don't mind French at that price and looking forward to watch him this year. But I couldn't have him in my team yet unless I was convinced he was going to continue to score hatties.

Thanks mate.
Was thinking Graham over Klemmer, due to the SOO factor

I know it's the dreaded trials but he looked decent in the highlights. Would be interested to know what kind of fantasy score he had though really off my radar
