Old news
Just getting back to you about the L1, L4, elite question from the last thread. They are referring to the leagues set up by this forum for members of this forum, with your fantasy ranking determining what League you're in.
Haha touché
Cheers mate, too late to enter I guess? I'd be in level 51 I think - I bailed 2/3s into my first season last year

What's wrong with picking Koro in the halves? If Brailey is a dud, he can switch there. I reckon he gets the full time hooker gig he's been craving and he is a 50+ scorer there. The Manly halves look set now with Green there. Ok....give it to me

I'm predicting that basically every team will name a 2nd hooker as part of their 21 man squad.
Throw some random ones out there, nothing terribly extravagent though:
-Havili in #17
-No Brian Kelly
-Stimson starting 2rf, kromwich bench
-Ponga not listed to start, but in extended list.
-Eels two hookers, IDG #9.
-MCK named centre. Suli in extended list.
I can't think of any other teams that will have surprises. Plenty of extended lists which won't clear things up, but alot of teams are pretty well set and will go as expected.

If Brown is named he'll probably pinch a few minutes but i like the logic of having Koro there to swap with Brailey if hes a dud.

In supercoach sure. In Fantasy Smith/Fifita are way more consistent and have just as good a chance for high ceiling
Johnson had 2 scores of 70+ last year with a 70 and 80. Low score of 18.
Smith had 9 scores of 70+ last year 76, 84, 74, 81, 76, 80, 70, 86, 85. And a bonus 89 in the grand final. Low score of 47, his only sub 50 point score of the year.
Fifita had 7 scores of 70+ last year 76, 79, 72, 71, 74, 75, 83. Bonus 79 week 1 of the finals and 98 in the grand final. Low of 30 with only 3 games under 50 points.

Didnt parcell leave because barrett wants his hooker to be a distributor rather than a runner? Koro would have to get all his points from tackles

All squads name their 21 players in alphabetical order with no jersey #'s

No stats to back me up but i think he racked up tackles when hooking for a little while at bunnies

Koro makes about 40 tackles when playing 80mins

Does anyone think that running a running a combo of Farah/McInnes could be more fruitful than Smith/Brailey
For Example Smith 60-70 Brailey 30-35 = 90 - 105
vs McInnes 50-60 and Farah 47-57 = 97 - 117
Sure these scores are only opinions and the 140K cheaper option of Smith and Brailey equates to about 15 points difference, but if McInnes and Farah both get 80 mins to start the season they could actually be hitting near 60 points a game and be awesome. With Field on the bench I actually don't think McCrone will go to hooker but if he does (due to the Matthews injury) I have a feeling that McInnes could spend some time at lock. He was really impressive in pre season by all accounts and leading the endurance/fitness sessions.

I captained Leilua against the Knights last year. Got his lowest score of the year. Week or so after he scored two tries against the best defensive team in the comp.
Point is I wouldn't. Warriors haven't won a Round 1 match since 2009. Not only would I not captain SJ I'd say Knights have a decent chance of winning

All done - is there anything I need to know about competing in the league? Just pick my team and play?

if you're running Brailey though it means you have the extra money spent elsewhere, so its not really a direct comparison. Eg Brailey allows for an extra gun 2rf.
EDIT wait i guess much of that extra money has gone to Smith. But it would still leave 150k ish left to upgrade elsewhere.

I would agree with and have thought about that strategy but Jackson Hastings as a bench hooker would be a turn off

Especially with the forward pack that may get named for the Warriors!
After all the back and forth with Hoffman, my hunch is that he doesnt play. Add to that BT, Matulino, and a couple other boys either out or not fully fit, then it could be a very green pack the Warriors field!
