Hi guys, just interested in general chat on gun players I think could improve on last year.

The backs seem easier in terms of RTS, Hayne, Slater, Holmes, T Trobjevic etc I think halves and hooker once again will be where teams are very different from the start.
Have a good feeling about DCE and Johnson this year and hard to go past Cam Smith again I'm guessing. Sam Burgess looks a lock for most teams from the start with that draw and Manu Ma'u in the centres.

Personally looking to steer clear of RTS and Slater, but if decently cheap then will consider. Turbo I think I'll steer clear as well, from memory he can go long periods in a game scoring fuckall?

Should we continue this here or are we still trying to hit page 51 in thread 51 #fiddyonefiddyone

Won't be playing NRL Fantasy next year. Will only be playing the one comp (Ultimate League draft). Shooting for 3 Grand final appearances in a row.

I'm thinking of Tohu Harris in my team. Scores well as it is may go one better with Proctor gone

Yeah, can't go wrong with the bloke. I literally don't think I have EVER actually owned him in Fantasy. DT yes, but missed him that 1st year in Fantasy, and never had him since.

    Based on the draw
    Bye rounds
    Origin
James Graham is a lock in every team.
Add the fact he is mates with Des, so while everyone else is tanking, he'll be picking up the slack.

Cleary will go close to being in my 2 starting halves, even with his price tag. Particularly if TMM ends up beside him and Carty goes back to 2nd row. TMM had a couple of games with 0 kick metres if I remember correctly.

In saying that, I think the Panfis would be crazy to not start with Cleary/Cartwright.

Oh and maybe Burher depending where he starts and price.

Still should be some bargains around. Cleary should get all the kms if hes with TMM

Out of all of those I think slater is the one I'd steer clear from, provided TTurbo's ankle is all good. Then again slater could be near bottom price if averages and discount is reflected so would be silly not to have as a non playing reserve.

Slater will be at that Devil's price where you know it's wrong but it's too tempting.

Buhrer looks a good buy but there'll be better options out there than Cleary at his price

If Slater played for Manly you would assume he's mates with Eddy Hayson, that's how confident I am of him playing again.

Yep, Cleary is pencilled into my draft team

    Players of interest for me
Smith, Farah, Graham, Fensom, Arrow, Buhrer, Hutchison, Milne, Idris (risky injury prone but...), Hayne, RTS, Ponga
all depending on price and potential minutes of course

Brens hot tip for NRL Fantasy 2017 is Josh McGuire. Rumours suggesting he could line up in the #13 jersey next year and if he does he will be Fantasy gold!
