STO long time listener, first time caller. Good work with the vids mate. ST reckons they are a bit long but i bet you could talk underwater with a mouth full of marbles and the original cut probably goes twice as long and you struggle to get it back to 50 minutes. They are awesome on night shift when i just need a hit of fantasy.
Have a question for next vid. Holding a short term injured POD gun with a injury time that keeps getting pushed back. How long do we wait? Im looking at you Bryce Cartwright. Hes already lost a stack of cash. I consider him a keeper and i was prepared to hold him as i want him in my final squad but every week i wait i probably lose 10-20 points playing jacks. As it was initially a 1 week injury i held but ive seen these drag out before and because its a strange injury we have no real previous guideline. I already have 500k with Tolo out this week, if Cartys out again im forced to sell Carty. Im too far behind already and need points. What would you do in your position as you are travelling a lot better than me?
Secondly who do we trade him too. Like your last vid re the stockmarket. I prefer to go someone who has had a rubbish round 1 who has a decent average from last year like Pearce or Cleary who have lost a bit of cash to negate the cash lost on Carty or do you pay overs(on initial price} for guys like Norman or Walker who are on fire early?
    Cheers BB

    Thanks BB Smile

I cut and shut totally! There's not many visual aids other than the player footage when I'm talking about them or my fantasy team lay out so the feedback I've received is most people just listen to it as if it's a podcast Smile

I'm in the same predicament you are mate! I like Norman and already have him due to bye coverage but I'm holding on Carty..for another week O.O That rollercoaster thou'!

There is a possibility that Zane Musgrove is starting. If so, will you hold onto him another week?

I was the one last week asking about selling Mitchell Pearce. Luckily, I thought other trades were more important and held onto him and he goes out and scores 71.
You need a lot of luck in this game.................................

Pacey I'm glad you did mate! Phew!

I'm going to hold Musgrove if he gets the move to starter Smile But I still might trade him because once you've locked an advanced trade in via 6-7 people it will be locked out by kick-out!

I just listen as a podcast while i have another screen up doing "work". Its not to the lack of visual aids its just Id feel a bit traumatised if i had to look at a guy in a parra jersey for 50 minutes... It could be worse you could support the dogs. After lots of deliberation Cartys gone for me so best you hold him. He will come back to haunt me, he always does. Im going Cleary as a bit of a pod instead of Norman. Byes arent as good but i need pods to make up ground

    @spotTheOzzie

Good on you for putting up your videos mate, unfortunately I am massively pushed for time so I was only able to watch part of the first and second ones, but from what I did see they were great! Although quickly reading a post by ST, it is perhaps something you could think about for next yr (if you continue on with these). There are obviously a ton of guys who are very serious about fantasy and put in a lot of time and are probably keen as to watch a 30min plus video weekly, but I reckon there will be 10 x that who are more like me, want to be competitive in fantasy but simply don't have that amount of time. If you did a shortened version, perhaps the exact same footage, but cut the topics back a bit, I reckon you might reach out to a whole different audience as well. Just a thought bro, not a criticism or complaint or anything Smile

But anyway that wasn't why I was posting. I actually just interested to see how you were travelling now? After week one you were almost top 20 right? How have the last couple weeks treated you?

I like your videos... I don't watch the whole thing, but pick the topics that interest me from the timeline.
Definitely a helpful tool for those new to fantasy, and a good springboard for Fantasy Q&A.

    Good luck this round.

    Question for next week:

When do you start planning for the Bye rounds?

I always have the Bye rounds in mind when picking my guns for the season, hence my pick of JGraham, Surgess, Norman, Gutherson, and RTS in my starting 17 round 1

Haha, then cancel what I suggested above. My dumb arse didn't see you'd put up a time line Smile

3kish! My rank is listed at the start of every video Razz Carty is screwing me and I held onto him this week to find out after Panther kick-off that he's actually going to be out for 4 weeks =/ :O

Great Question! Will add for next week.

Or that time someone was doing burnouts out the front, or the house alarm next door, or the neighbours arguing about looking after their baby or instead watching Highway Patrol. Hah I tend to cut a lot of the background rubbish out but I thought leaving in the sneeze was funny hahaha.

Which leads to a potential question.
We like to be loyal to the players we originally choose. But when to cut and run from loyalty??
Carty was an injury concern when he came off injured two weeks ago. He posted a bad score which will bring his price down once he starts placing again.
It's a bit of cash that's sitting on the bench not scoring points. Smile
Get rid of him and bring him back in again when he's cheaper??
Will the points gained out way the extra trade?? Who knows when he'll be back.

Haven't seen much activity in this thread so the biggest questions this week are...

    - Is That Panthers Guy (C. Harawira-Naera) worth picking up if Cartwright is out for only 2 more weeks, or is he another T. Roberts-Davis?

    - Players to look at trading in this week/who has bottomed out the most? B. Thompson, J. Bromwich, E. Whitehead.

    - Are guys like P. Vaughan, C. Hess, C. Gutherson the real deal?

    - E. Taylor worth holding?

    - S. Mata'Utia becoming the new M. Aubusson in being a DPP 2RF/CTR hampered by his own utility.

Abbey (Watching the game is not in any set attacking plays, can't see him make the mojo) to CHN ($$$

I understand life takes preference to fantasy (mmmm, I think, maybe  Smile )

You made a commitment though. Maybe just post a 10 minute video to keep the weekly thing happening.

Life has changed for me so I need to be brief this week.

I love the idea haha. Had I thought of that earlier I would have quickly done a 10minute release not a bad idea at all and will keep that in mind for next time! If I shot something now it wouldn't be fully uploaded until after Thursday's game as I have terrible internet Sad

I'll definitely be back next week don't you worry Smile

P.s. I'm holding Carty as there are more pressing trades that I noted above Smile
