Showbags wrote:Hmmm so do we reckon seggy will be straight in? Will the nrl regiater it straight away? Hoping for at least 3 weeks from brailey.

Any brailey owners thinking of downgrading a midranger (for me i am looking at swapping kromwich for Frankenstein) to free up the cash? Although i reckon seggy will start 400k+ so that would still leave me 100k short...... might just stick with original plan of downgrading buhrer and getting in mcinnes if it happens

Will the NRL fast track the registration of his contract? Who knows. They took a while for the last couple of players (Dave Taylor), though Edrick Lee was done really quickly. Segeyaro is in more of a Dave Taylor situation so it may take them a couple of weeks before he's allowed to play. Honestly we just don't know at this stage. What are we going off, some bloke who reckons Seggy told him its done? I know James Hooper "reckons" it will be done next week but there would be a lot of loose ends to tie up in this situation and it may drag out, as it already has done..

I am going to wait and see what happens. Brailey is an NPR for me anyway.

It may cost me an extra trade but, if it does happen, at least by the end of round 1 I will have had a look at how all my midrangers have performed, and if a downgrade is required then I can get rid of the one who looked the least likely to score well.

na i'll give him a few weeks.

I had Maloney in my team from when fantasy opened until an hour before kick off when I thought to myself, even if he picks ups 100km more and say a try assist every couple of weeks that's less than a 10pt improvement in average

I then chose mitchell moses.... :s

Moses will go well tonight, don't worry about the 'injury' concerns.

For the record I don't have him.

Just from a footy point of view he looked really solid. Was very close to busting through a couple of times. With a bit more footy he can become a real weapon for us outside Milford.

Jacks is no Green, will get little to no say so in attack, If he is named will leave it until solid Slater news comes out to get him in

Don't want to risk dumping Moses/Taylor to get him in until I see his role and cash making ability.

    SJ, Lamb (Elgey, Jacks)
    Idris, Talakai (Kelly, Suli)
    RTS, Hayne, Gutherson (Phythian, Cotric)

Would you go = Musgrove & K-Brom out - Papalii & ET in.
The problem is I'll have to reserve Kaufusi but the reserves seem locked in.

As discussed yesterday the trouble with 138k bench forwards is they will be slow burners in terms of making money. If you keep it the way you have it in a few weeks you might be able to downgrade musgrove and upgrade k-brom to a bye friendly keeper. Unless you see taylor as a keeper?

Moga looks like a simple trade for any cows this weekend that fail. Thinking about playing Kelly over Idris too.

Is everyone going, Jacks, Field or Hingano?

Yep I'm going Kelly and Hurrell... Idris as a NPR for now

I'm tempted to go Jacks, but I don't know much about him... someone pull out some stats on this guy!??

I've gone Jacks, I feel like taking the punt. Mainly because I don't believe anything the Storm have said for the last month or two, and that one article from early Feb up on the sunny coast which said "despite what they are saying, Jacks has been training at left side half". I guess its a gut feel that he will be around for a little while.

I reckon Hingano probably ends up playing more than two games as well.

Field, I just don't see him scoring any points. He would have to be named to start and play 80 minutes for me to even consider him, but even then I reckon he scores 25-30.

Why has everyone gone cold on playing Idris. Seems like an easy 30 minimum to me?

I'm doubting myself. I have money tied up in my front row of Fifita, DSaifiti and JWH. Is this wise? Not sure if that's wise or if I'm gonna get stuck with the two mid rangers. Wondering if I should downgrade and free up cash with one and just upgrade one to Bromwich and pocket the extra for upgrades. Saying that, I think they both may do well.

I guess it could also be an easy 20 too.

He's definitely not match fit. In the trials he has been blowing hard. It will take him a while to get up to speed, and he's always been a traditionally lazy player. Chee Kam has spent pre season switching between centre and back row. Tigers can sub MCK straight into centre if Idris is struggling. It is the late game tonight though and a bit of rain about might slow the game down to help his cause.

We will see. He's big and strong enough that he can score 20 or 30 points in two strong runs. That is the attraction. I'm betting he will be fine and score 30+
