My round 1 score last year was 654 so almost a 200 point improvement this year

Also just one injury to Pythian as opposed to the 3 or 4 including both hookers then.

This year I feel I need to generate even more cash early on to pick up the underpriced guns due in a few weeks. May lead to a hard decision/risk or 2

Anyone come across any serious fantasy teams scoring more than 850?

Edit: four or five above 850 in the overall group

819 for me and ranked 1089.

A late scoring surge got siro to 42 which I wasnt expecting, I think he was still hovering around the 30 point mark with 10 to go.

I still reckon he doesn't get involved enough for an 80min backrower but for his price, he should make some good cash if he maintains this level of scoring.

I wonder if Newcastle will step up their chase to secure Ponga for this season now that Pythian is done...

Finished this week with 841 (subject to updates). Next week ill go Phythian to Moga and Prior to Wallis if I can afford it (I have 42k in the bank). With my first post I asked if Hodgkinson was likely to kick. No one was sure but I am glad I didn't pick him. I had thought Prior would get 50 minutes and Bukuya 30, but they split it 40/40 so Prior has to go.

Not the worst start for me, sitting just outside the top 6000.

    I calc'd a cringe-worthy 675 based off rough averages, so I'll book a 764 with hopefully a few updates tonight.

    Now officially locked in with:

    (C)am, Brailey
    RJames, McGuire, FKaufusi, Leota
Merrin, Manners, JDB, Sironen, Yates, FWinter
    Maloney, Lamb, Elgey, Hingano
    SMat, Talakai, Idris, BKelly
    RTS, Hayne, Uate, Cotric, Python

Can't say I have too many regrets. I sacrificed my halves and backs for a big 6 in the forwards and if Manners and Merrin did their thing I'd be pretty happy.

I was considering free-trading Elgey or Hingano to Jacks, but too last minute for me to really consider it. Likewise for either Uate or Python out for Suli. I was leaning more on dropping Uate though, but Suli's job security concerns me.

Besides Jacks and Suli, I've thrown Wallace, Matagi and Moga on the cheapie watchlist.

Based on early injury reports to Manners and Python, I guess I'll be looking at burning two trades this week on Python out for Suli and Manners out for Taumalolo or Finucane.

742 has me just outside the top 10k. If I didn't tinker JDB and Dugan out of my team on Thursday I would have had an extra 100 points and be sitting firmly in the top 500. Didn't miss any must have cash cows so no trades for me this week. Let's hope Munster can score some points on a dry track

Let me tell you what to do. Hold him. Penrith were disgraceful. Once they went 3 tries behind, their heads went down. You cannot trade rage a gun player after one bad score or you will run out of trades by round 14.

    Early trade thoughts,

    Phythian > Moga via Cotric.
    Saifiti > Wallace

Play Kaufusi over Elgey and Moga over Kelly.

Like these DK have all Moga/Cotric/Suli so will have to be more creative with who I bring in I think. Early DSaifii - Wallace/AFB

Would have snapped your hand off for an 800 score before the round started.

So who is everyone's regret or misses outside the obvious if you didn't fit in JDB or Tedesco

    For me...

Halves - I knew it was a dire collection Sezer/Lamb/Elgey. The first 2 were away and expected to get beat. I see more Sezer upside than Lamb and definitely want to improve this area in next few weeks.

Barnett - I was really looking for players going from interchange or prop to lock. JDB and McGuire at the premium end. Wallace in th value picks. I fortunately found these 3 but missed Mitch barnett. I am eyeing him for a swap with KBrom as I think he is going to be middle of the road and I hate mid range wth mid rangers points!

Only other call out was I was vocal about SMat, Sironen and DSaifiti being rubbish picks.

Smat and Siro actually did a very good fantasy jobs both on beaten sides busting out 40s. Well done

Who has better potential = Leota or I. Papalii

    Leota = 23 points-28 mins-27 tackles-4 missed tackles-1 error
    Papalii = 17 points-22 mins-13 tackles-1 mised tackle-1tb

My trade to get rid of Phythian:
Phythian out-Leota/Papalii in (via Sione via J. Wallace)

    Cheers.
