Viking taxman doesn't happen to be a raiders fan does he.... Jesus that's close to outdoing my bias. It's not a pressing concern but I would get rid of both boyd (unless you are waiting for hodgo to put him over for a try and ride that price rise for a few weeks) and LCroker, not this week necessarily, but sooner rather than later so you aren't missing opportunities on other players you could have instead

Wait. I can't quite see the bench on my mobile, but is that Lima, priest and Clydesdale? If so start clearing them out too. Clydesdale is the only one likely to be in the team past rd 6-7 ( once tarps comes back) and they won't make enough cash in a short term period I don't think

Don't own him in fantasy but sold him in sc even before that news due to his shocking defense/missed tackles.

Glad that I'm happy enough with my team that none of these are a consideration. If Koro drops a bollock again I may look at downgrading to nuff and get Fifi in as watched the game and he barely did anything and got 55. Not comfortable hiding behind a couch every game he plays

Yup. I did that.
Thanks for your advisement - duly noted and will action, I am definitely taking off the blinkers - this is SERIOUS STUFF!

Mate you've got the right intentions so all is ok. Any love for the lads in green can only be a good thing and favouring your team is an easy/common rookie thing. The kind folk on here will having you running smoothly in no time and if you stick at it you will learn a hell of a lot in just one season.VikingTaxman wrote:
Thanks Random!
Like I said in the other thread, all thoughts are welcomed as totally new to this [and obviously have blinkers on, kinda...]

Haha I think you might be my favourite new poster with that many raiders in your team. By the way, are you playing to beat guys In your league or to finish as highest as possible overall? It doesn't matter too much right now but will closer to originVikingTaxman wrote:

After I lodged my team for Round 1 I thought I could more than likely quit my day-job. Ha! This is quite the journey, and I'm loving it. Definitely learning heaps.
I hope I can give back one day. Cheers!!!

Chambers to Suli (via Cotric - gives you WFB/CTR switch)
Arrow upgrade
You could otherwise do Lima upgrade to someone like Kaufusi instead of Arrow upgrade.

Hampton to jacks and don to suli then use cash next week to upgrade a forward and get another cash cow in possibly
Need to focus on getting the right cashs cows in and get rid of the dead wood
Actually would prob go Clydesdale to brailey and Hampton to jacks?

Mate, I figured that this year would be a learning curve - but still would like to be in contention in the private League I joined. No way can I compete [yet?] against the main NRL Fantasy ones. Thanks again for your input!

Just for a different train of thought what does everyone think of the following trade idea...
ET OUT
Moga IN
Phythian OUT
Talakai IN
I get to pick up some decent cash cow CTRs and have a couple of hundred grand in the bank for the following rounds to upgrade other players.

Thanks guys - this is awesome. I'm taking a breather though [a bit overwhelmed, and need to get my whiteboard out I think... lol] - taking everything on board and I'll check in again in a bit!!!

Chee-Kam bump.
Any thoughts on what might happen when Idris is back full time.
Out of the squad, or permanent 2nd rower on the bench

Got to think he slots in as a full time 2nd rower.

Who gets benched then? Sue or Lawrence?

Ohh I mean Chee-Kam just ends up on the bench and rotates in the 2RF. I definitely phrased that wrong though.

Ok Thanks.
I hope so.
Clearly not a gun option, but I think I would much prefer Gutherson and a dicey Chee-Kam than Daifiti and Elgey. I can't see Elgey making even 25k let alone being the cash cow we might expect. Only other option appears to be a 2-week Stimson.
I don't know about you but I don't think Chee Kam will start, but as a bench 2nd rower will still provide better value than Elgey.

pm888 wrote:initially i hedged my bets including both Kbrom and Faufs to see who would get 80 mins. it looks like faufs is winning that war. but im gonna hold kbrom. he has low ownership at 11% which could be considered pod territory with how similar every team looks this year.
i can see why others would want to trade, with almost every cow performing at their pre-season prediction if not higher
Did exactly the same... picked both
Don't really want either
Hoping this Stimson (who I also picked steps up!) objective is to have just 1 Storm value backrower asap and as soon as price rises stop, allowing. Can't argue with people getting just 1 cheap one from the start and gambling on the worst one, but best value (i.e. Faufusi) really would prefer Bateman or Bunty over KBrom but let's give the Brom another run out
