Feels like last night never happened with zero players having played. The only thing I can't ponder over is captain choice.
Lets get this round underway already!

Matterson is the new bench utility. Matterson came on for Guerra and then he shifted to right centre for Fergo, indicating he's the new Flannery/Aubo. He'll be one of my prime upgrade targets in the CTR's

Still injury cloud or Bennett sticking with 80 Macca?
Bennett said pre game in round 1 that Niko had only had 20 minutes of rugby league since coming back from injury so he wouldn't be risked in first grade just yet, his words were 'he will be back in first grade soon'. I realise thats a very vague statement but theres nothing more concrete to go on.

So Aubs has finished his apprenticeship as a utility and has graduated to a full-time second rower.... maybe they should take his DPP status away?

Hopefully they ease Niko into a halves role and not spelling Macca, way Hunt has been playing wouldn't be surprised to see Niko spelling himmy tv broke wrote:

Well it looks like Hopoate & Holland could be out for a while. Hopoate fractured eye socket & Holland ac joint injury. Abbey & Montoya could get a go as posted earlier.

The only reason K-Nik got so much game time last year was because his contract was up for renewal & other clubs were chasing him. Macca benefits the Broncos more when he plays 80 mins. It was noticeable last year that when both Parker & Macca were off the field having a rest the Broncos lost control of the ruck.

Niko will be back within the next 5 rounds. Doesn't mean Macca still can't play 80 mins though.

SI you didn't actually buy Maubbs this season did you?!
Old school... backrowers at centre
Yep! Playing him in my SRF though as were too many cheap Centres to ignore.
We say this every year, but with SST out and Copley/Manu in the 21 and the flexibility Watson and Matterson give them, there is less chance he will end up in the Centres.
Nekk minnit, named to replace Ferguson next week

To play Elgey or Jacks? Elgey got more attacking stats potential and dominated the kick metres last week. However Jacks seems a better scorer on base stats although 32 tackles for a half isn't too common and unlikely to be repeated.

sounds like pretty poor weather in NZ for the game this evening so might be another tackle fest.

That's a tough call between Elgey & Jacks. I'd probably go Elgey.

I still have Pthing in my team... I guess he'll be getting an upgrade this coming week to Inigo Montoya...

My vote would be neither in 17 but considering I wanted to trade Elgey>Jacks prior to last week's games I'd have to say Jacks

Yeah had a feeling it was a fractured eye socket. I saw him trying to move his eyes around and they looked weird. The extra-ocular muscles get trapped in the floor of the eye socket with a blow out fracture giving one double vision as the eyes are mis-aligned

I'm in Auckland and it's absolutely chucking it down where I am and forecast to carry on all afternoon/evening
