This Cowboys FRF situation is doing my head in. I mean P Kaufusi has a starting role and great job security but seems like he has a really low ceiling to hit. Hoare is a good prospect but might not even hold a bench spot when Lolo comes back, if he even takes the field at because of a concussion and being named in the ISC team.

Hmmm maybe I should just avoid them and go for another back cashie via DPP. I mean what would you do to replace I Papalii? Swap him out with P Kaufusi/Hoare or go for a boom or bust back like Rennings?

It would be a case where they need special permission from the NRL. Can't see any reason for them to block it.

What a photo to use though - it just looks like he's real disappointed about it all

Is there a reason hess is being talked up so much? I get he has a b/e in negatives and should average in the 40s for next couple of weeks to make some fast cash, but is he going to get a starting role long term with scott out? He makes about 70-100k and maybe scores 50 points more than who you would be starting in your 17 otherwise. But then you have to trade him out, so 2 trades blown on him and some cash to get a gun. Wouldnt the trades be better spent cashing out a ripe cow to a new cow and upgrading the person you are trading for hess straight to a gun?

I am looking at him as a potential trade for talaki but the maths just doesnt add up with me being in a better position. To me i gain an extra 40-50 points but lose out on another cash cow and the cash i would make from them if i went with hess. Am i missing something? Are we hoping for a gurgess type event and he becomes a gun?

to get more in the bank, my 2nd trade will be Gallen to Hess. (now have 207k)

    my plan is in round 5/6 to go;
    F.Kafusi + 100k to J.Brom
    Siro + 100k to Bodene

and then 'hopefully' downgrade Hess to Whitehead and use any money left over to upgrade Buhrer to Surgess/Gallen

is this a sound plan ?

Why trade out Gallen when he has almost bottomed out in price when you plan on potentially trading him back a few rounds later? Not only that but for Jamie Buhrer who is averaging 50. This is not a sound plan at all, it looks like you are just trading for the sake of trying to get the latest "it" player. I think you would be better off finding another way to raise some cash. Just my 2 cents...

Anyone have James Roberts? Seen hobbling at Broncos training and his leg heavily strapped. Will most likely play have a backup just in case. Kahu looks like he will play this week.

Not necessarily. Didn't Bodene, Hoffman and Mannering all play close to 80 mins last year?

I'm sure Bunty could play some front row.

Can I get a rate my trades on the following? Would give me cash to do Python via Smat to a Whitehead J Brom or BT soon and money for Siro for 1 of the previous

I think I've sorted out my trades.

    1. When confirmed Abbey lining up FB Koro>Abbey via Guth $221k itb

    2. Save OR decide to do Dalker>Ponga leaving $391k for future dud cow to fallen guns

I can leave 2 till Cowboys Manly play and have Cotric as the necessary DPP who plays the following day

Either I was dreaming, or I was the only one to see the article regarding Hoppa + Sundays.

It was either the title, or it was part of an article, I don't remember. He said he may play on Sundays this year because of the time out he is having now. I think what he is trying to say is that it's unfair on the team for him to be missing for 6 weeks or whatever with his injury now, plus Sundays.

Anyone else see it? I keep seeing people say Hoppa is going to miss Sundays so feels like I'm the only one to see the article.

Hmm who to trade - Hayne, Talakai or Idris to Abbey or Jennings. Hayne makes the most sense for monetary reasons but arguments can be made for all 3...

I remember hearing a quote off one of the many NRL shows when they said Hoppa may have to play Sundays this year.

The only articles I can find re Hopoate on Sundays were late January were he was "to make a decision in the coming weeks re playing on Sundays".

I am facing the same problem with Kaufusi. Who is to say next week, he gets dropped from the starting team for Hoare, or in two weeks when Lolo is back (after Hess has a stormer) Hess gets moved to prop and Kaufusi back to the bench.

Unless Surgess goes bonkers on the attacking side of things I can see him scoring relatively low against Newcastle. He will probably have an early shower too if it's a flogging
