Hayne to Abbey/Tyrone Roberts Davis but only 14K left

I thought about either Carty to Hess or McGuire, but I'm going Hess. So much potential and a ton of cash to bank.

Which rounds are origin players out again?
Is it really worth trading in players like McGuire, Papali'i, Tedesco at this stage of the game or would you wait until after origin?

Slater is probably different because I assume people are bringing him in on the basis that he will rise $100k+ in price. Don't see those others stretching their price out anywhere near that much from here.

Tedesco maybe doesn't fit into the same bracket again because you could be missing out on a 90 point game vs no one else really performing in that WFB merry-go-round and Teddy only misses one extra game through origin.

I was initially going ET to Hess but apparently Fensom will go to lock. Will Hess stay on the bench or start at prop as was mentioned yesterday. I really want to get Hess but there's uncertainty with his minutes & surely he can't sustain scoring a try every game although I fancy his chances playing Manly. It's a situation where whether you get him or not you're damned if you do or damned if you don't. So I decided to give him a miss so then my attention turned to McGuire who has lived up to the pre-season hype & is the top scoring frf. McGuire unlike Hess is guaranteed good minutes & he seems to be going from strength to strength. The only downfall is it didn't leave me with enough money to get R. Jennings but Abbey seems to be the next best cash cow if not the best if he lines up at f/b & kicks goals. What's the bet Hasler moves him to the wing & Mbye kicks goals lol. That's the risk with Abbey but Bulldogs v Warriors are usually high scoring games & they're playing in Dunedin where the stadium has a retractable roof so the ground will be firm & it should be an open, running game so Abbey should be a decent chance for points. To answer your question I like option 2 with Abbey.

I think cash in the bank is crucial for upgrading mid rangers to JBrom and Whitehead when they bottom out.

True but if McGuire keeps it up he will gain $30K over the next three weeks (with Hess maxing in three weeks with a further $80K) so only $50K difference in total. McGuire is a keeper (in fact the best front row average at this stage), Hess on bench isn't a keeper.
I was all for chasing the money but just requires another trade right, and after Norman sitting this week out I need all the points I can get.

Looks like Brisbane could be down to a three forward bench soon, Benji floating around with Niko to come in at some stage, also TPJ limping off last week might not be good to go?

I was all for option 1 at the start of the week but think I may have convinced myself on option 2.

    Option 1:

    D Saifiti - Wallace
    +
    KBrom - Crichton

    $73K left

    Option 2:

    DSaifiti - McGuire

    KBrom - Stone

    $21K left

Option 1 brings in more cash which I need, plus a potential keeper/18th man in Wallace
Option 2 brings in a gun and new cash cow.

    "Thumbs up" for Option 1
    "Thumbs Down" for Option 2

    Or just reply.

    Which trade is better.
Who has the better job security and the potential to make more money :

Hayne  - Rennings. $6k remaining or

    Hayne  - Abbey. $32k remaining

If I buy McGuire & Abbey I'll have 9 for round 12 which is ok at this stage. I see McGuire as a season keeper.

Hayne/Phythian to Ponga/Abbey. That's all I can really do at this stage.

No not enough cash. Looks like the best I can afford. Already have Yates so not really sure who else to grab/who I can afford.

Turner is one of Madge's favourites I think. The harsh reality is that ever since he had his injury he just hasn't been a very good footballer, which is a real shame because he was on the up.

I'm torn between the same trades with Cartwright. I like the idea of getting a set and forget guy like McGuire, but also with the money you bank, Hess could rise and could just about be a straight swap to JBrom or Whitehead. You use an extra trade, but you have the money for an extra upgrade.

Definitely R. Jennings due to his -3 b/e & dpp status. My 2nd pick would be Abbey as I think Moga is a bit too expensive now. Ponga is a no due to probably only playing 2 games but if you want points this week he probably has the best chance to score the most points.

    Conclusion = R. Jennings & Abbey

Just following up on this as this really affects my team where I'll have to make adjustments prior to tonight's kick-off if that's the case.

You're the only person I've seen say that Cartwright is out and I'm keen to know the reliability of this info.

    Cheers mate
It was James hooper on league tonight or something. They were talking up JFH starting

We need better info on cootes injury. I think Ponga will be a better scorer than Abbey but if Ponga only gets 2 games then Abbey will make more cash and at the of the day that is what you are wanting from those two
