Serious question from a serious person:

What pies are we eating and what brand?

Steak and cheese from NZ dairys kick all arses. Hands down. Worth the trip.

Back in oz I'll munch chicken and veg, meat, potato top and beyond.

Sargents is what I like. Back in Perth where I'm from there was a factory called Grannys that you could go get seconds from in these large rectangle boxes. I think it was around Osborne Park, i was a bit young so Mum was in charge. If you got there at the right time they were still hot. Good times.

Do not like the travellers pies from servo's. Got a guts ache one time never again. Asked old mate how long it had been in the warmer and he said one hour. Stupid me to trust that fool.

Yates not back on even with Levi off and Buhrer to hooker. Think it's safe to say he's gone.

I take my pie business very seriously!

There's not a pie that's off limits but I'm not real partial to curry ones. Want a curry pastry get a fuckin samosa! Brand wise, Sargeants if I have to buy from a supermarket but I have a bakery down the road called the Rolling Pin, won a fair few awards including Australia's best pie back in 2013 and 2014 so that's my go to. Their steak and cheese is delectable! However, my fave is the Ned Kelly. Chunky steak, cheese, tomato and a fluffy tater top!

One a more serious note, do you do mushy peas?

If you're ever in Melbourne, source yourself a KaPie. Kiwis put some kiwi pies together. They are great.

God I can remember getting my lunch from a servo when I worked in South Auckland and I'd just grab a couple of big bens and a V. Not sure how I am still alive tbh. Thank hell I learnt to eat healthy finally (sometimes).

Have a couple saved in the freezer for a rainy day. Haven't seen a huge variety around though.

Best pie I ever had in my life was up Whakapapa and it was a chicken satay pie. One of my top two flavours along with lamb and rosemary.
Oh God I need some food.

Another thing about pies, on my last joint to the mother land (of twats), England, last year I went in search of a pie to satisfy a craving and test a theory. Over the space of 8 days i had 6 pies in 5 different locales.

I can officially state that pies in the London West End, Manchester et all are the shittest, piss poor excuse for a pastry ever! I swear to god those plebs legitimately took the Johnny Depp,Helena Bonham Carter film Sweeny Todd far too seriously and put people or horse meat in their pies!

Heavy doughy pastry that's far too thick, fuck all filling, cold half mashed tater top and a mountain of shitty mashed mint peas big enough to rival Everest!
