I don't have him, will only buy him if he gets a starting spot

I would still think its unlikely he starts. I didn't see alot of the first half but posts here suggested he was fairly quiet up until late in the game.

To me it seems most likely Hess will go back to the bench ala round 1. He's still only young and while he has shown he can play big mins, you would probably get the best out of him over the course of this season by playing him for 40 to 50 mins a game.

The thing with Hess is that even with 40-50 mins off the bench he can still score 40+ & you know he'll have games where he goes large. I think he's getting very hard to resist. By the way I have him in sc & he scored 100 there.

Yeah I reckon he will be used like Gurgess first year, come on after 20-30min against tired defense with hitups against smaller guys and power plays close to the line. Not neccessarily a bad thing, he will miss out on tackles (although outwide he can be quietish there anyway) and if he comes on close to the centre that will offset this. But will be used less for decoy runs as they will want to get the most out of him and not just lull the opposition with decoys before hitting him.

Will get odd 30s but will go big now and then and will hopefully average mid 40, not a long term keeper, but will be an easy jump off to a keeper, and may even be a decent POD against people not running him for those games he goes off

Will be like facing a team with Fifita, you just know 1 big play will mean you lose, but he will score 40s as well to give you hope when you dont have him. Hess just will average less but is alot cheaper for what he provides

Well now I'm not so sure I should trade ET out. Fingers crossed for Cleary to the Tigers. In 2015 he played 80 consistently and broke the all-time tackling record in one game. Only Ivan can get him back to those heights

ok, so Lamb owners. We know he can score in the 40s consistantly, but he has kinda stalled for cash making purposes for the next few weeks. Holding? Or trade to someone like a bottomed out DCE?

Bigger fires to put out so I'm holding. I think this game is a one off and he should go back to scoring 35-40

True, having to play 2 of Moga, talaki, suli and cotic in 17 is frustrating. Moga is dropping out next trade for that penrith guy if he is in at 138k, that means ctr pairing of smat and aubs. But that will mean running one of Brailey, Elgey or Yates in 17 for a week until 1 of them peaks and I can upgrade.

ET is on his last chance in my squad this week. Unless Cleary signs with the club before first lockout next week I might have to move him on. Under performing guns available at a bargain basement price or cash to be made, can't afford to hold a mid tier player scoring 40 or so each round.

I'm the same. 4 rounds in is enough for a trend and it was only the coach sacking that saved him this week

Not at all. He has had the week off to refresh and regather himself, now it's time for him to deliver the goods or he gets moved on.

Didn't realise Whitehead is gonna miss next week for tripping (unless they fight and win). Dammit.

He got hit with a grade 2. Seems harsh given what Reynolds has gotten away with over the years and some of the fines handed out for tripping this year. Hopefully they beat it.
