Its ok mate, fantasy is odd. I've got this weird feeling Slater is infact the real trap of the week and yet I can't stop considering him. It's deja vu  this season i tell ya.

How could Slater be a trap?

Hey fellas. Struggling a little bit with what to do with my team this week. I'm looking at bringing in bodene this via smat but I'm 2k short of going moga to bodene. Which out of talakai or Kelly would people trade out first? Or should I hold them both and hope they still make more $$? Cheers

Currently have Walker Hoping Guth can maintain scores That's two from 5.

But because I feel for the trap of going for 7/9 of my backs were super cheaps. with the other two Mid rangers il be struggling to raise the funds.

Its more likely ill bring two of the above and be forced to continue with someone like RTS or Idris for much longer than I want.

    Papalii Elgey Hayne.

Pick 2 to turn into CHN and Slater. Think I may leave Papalii for now and have more $$$ for the likes of BT and EW soon. Is Hayne even worth keeping or just a flog?

Still wondering who to 'upgrade' this week, all capable of making money still with a try but potential to lose points over a more 'stable' scorer , ie Slater (though Slater will still make $$)

    Kelly (8 BE) 217K
    Cotric (17 BE) 221K
    Jennings (16 BE) 187K
    Suli (17 BE) 221K
    Moga (24 BE) 205K

Moga is my first pick to go, purely based on BE and the fact he never gets the ball.
The others are a bit of a lottery

I like Cotric as a player, goes looking for the ball and looks hungry, has DPP.
Kelly has a low BE but has relied on tries to score points, so will he continue to?
Suli is a bit of a tackle breaker, and one good run away from some points and DPP
Jennings is a bit hit and miss, cheaper so has more to make and also has DPP

Moga is an odd one. Despite recent low score, his Avg 25 and he hasnt scored a try yet this season.

On the other hand brian kelly has scored 4 tries and his avg is only 30. If you take out kellys try scoring plays his avg is probably more like 10.

Maybe Kelly keeps scoring tries, and maybe Moga never gets one?

Your one step ahead already having gutherson and walker with the byes to come, I had turbo in mind plus leilua/ croker/ rapana from raiders plus aitkin dragons and tedesco Tigers. Just prioritizing with prices and byes is the difficulty. Anyone else that players are thinking to have aswell come seasons end?

Second year doing fantasy, first year doing it properly (utilizing BE's and doing research). This forum has been invaluable so thanks to all!

Just finished doing my two trades for this week:
    SMAT > Slater
    Stone > CHN

    Bank: 189k, 28 trades left

    My team:

    Smith, Brailey (R)
Kaufusi, Graham, Matagi (S), Musgrove (R)
McGuire, JDB, Surgess, FWinterstein (R), Yates (R), CHN (S)
Norman, Elgey, Cartwright (S), Hampton (S)
Cotric, Suli, Kelly (S), Talakai (S)
Uate, Slater, RTS, Abbe (S), Ponga (S)

Im looking to upgrade Brailey in the coming weeks and the forwards too. Not too concerned about the centres at this stage. Taking a risk with ponga and CHN. Am I heading the right direction?

Not looking bad for your 2nd season.

A bit of bad luck with the Cartwright selection...

And if you are not too concerned with your centres than your gameplan looks good.

Whyis everyone wanting to jump on CHN? Surely when cartwright comes back he will be dropped?

I did trade him in but purely for a cash out, i am thinking that i should get Simpkins instead as his long term security is set but it leaves me short on the Winterstien to Whitehead trade next week.

Tamou no? You'd have to give Merrin and Carty at least a fighting chance too no? That being said I dont know what this CHN fullah is like, would he get a bench/starting spot with Tamou out?

I think the intention here is to make a quick $80k or so and trading him out. He has a BE of -23 so low risk high returns. You will lose two trades doing this so I guess it depends on your trade management and if it's worth it

No doubt great player. But he will be dropped?

and only making $80k odd is surely a waste of a trade?

Anyone thinking McCullough will get a rest during games coming up against Bulldogs, Titans and Rabbitohs. Thinking Niko might start to find a spot on the bench and possibly 1 of Arrow/Glenn miss out for him on the odd occasion.

Still think the Smith, McInnes combo is the way to go if you are upgrading Brailey.

I need to move Smat into Centre, so essentially need a downgrade in the 2RF position while bonus cash getting rid of a CTR cow.
To me he is a cash out position with some upside.

I would probably be less inclined to trade out IPapalii in a straight swap for him though

Other options are Stimson/Simpkins, but are more expensive and may hand around as an AE

Every year people try to predict players getting rests and on certain weeks.

Never goes well if my memory serves me correctly.

Personally he's just a cash-out. The fact that he might make money/score points is a bonus

I'm playing Elgey this week - he was running the ball more against the cowboys last week and almost got through a couple of times, and the Warriors have looked pretty hopeless so far.
