They've got a pretty tough run ahead of them though. Sea Eagles, Cowboys, Roosters and Storm. If they're the real deal then they'll be competitive but if they're pretenders then it'll hurt any outside back scoring presumably.

    Smith Brailey
    Fifita Wallace Musgrove Yates
Surgess Hess Siro Bodene Kafusi Wintersrein
    Norman Lamb Jacks Elgey
    SMat Turbo Idris Kelly
    Rts Slater Cotric Suli Ponga

Didnt play cotric or Musgrove last week which didnt help along with the awful slater and bodene trades. Have 28 trades and 53k in the bank. The last two years have been so strong for me and i just don't know what i am doing wrong!

If I were you , I would heavily plan for the bye rounds and hope you get a bit lucky with the decisions. Look at some bye players that with some luck could turn into guns through extra minutes or possible injuries to others. 17 players in each bye match with some luck (and some bad luck to others) and you will be back.

Im only ranked 5000 so take my advice with caution

Nrl Physio tweets from the weekend:

Bodene Thompson aggravated achilles tendonitis he had suffered from in pre-season, advised at half time to rest. Hopefully precautionary
For Bodene Thompson, not uncommon for achilles tendonitis to linger/come and go for months. Is more than pain tolerance issue

Minimum 2-4 weeks for a grade 1 hamstring strain with Dugan, looked to be more severe than that so could be 4-6 weeks (grade 2)

Horrible luck for Nat Butcher, dislocated "good shoulder" this week after only recently returning from off season surgery on other shoulder

On Bryce Cartwright:No fracture, but still dealing with painful bone bruising around plate in leg. Expected back next week, but should be 2 weeks at the most
Seems Gus' 6-8 week estimate a bit pessimistic, will be 3 week recovery for James Fisher Harris if he returns next week

Fingers crossed for Benji Marshall, possible fractured wrist in today's game for @DolphinsRLFC scans to know for sure tomorrow

After partial tear of ACL knee must have still been functionally unstable. Will be ~9 month recovery for Sam McKendry

Calf tightened up, but very unlikely he could finish the game after re-straining it so good signs for Coote

    For Robbie Farah back injury
Best case: muscle tightness/spasm= quick return
Worst: nerve/disc injury= weeks on sideline

Luke Brooks confirmed grade 2 hamstring strain for @WestsTigers . 4-6 week recovery #NRL (SULI is a trade because Moses hogs the ball to the right)

Lower grade syndesmosis injury for Dylan Napa, good news considering alternatives - out for around 3-4 weeks

managed to stay in the top 5,000 somehow - probably largely thanks to Johnson, Tedesco and McInnes scoring 50+ each yesterday

781 for the week. No idea what I'm going to have to do this coming week but hopefully Whitehead is back and scoring at keeper levels and BT plays close to 80mins - that would be nice.

Otherwise I'm going to have to start looking at B/E's and make trades that I don't really want to.

This is my worst fantasy season ever - no matter what I do I'm still way off the pace. Used 2 trades every week and still not improving (been ranked 17k ish for the last 3 weeks). Any advice?

Current team with 282k in the bank.

    Smith, Brailey
    McGuire, Wallace, Musgrove, Yates
Gallen, Mannering, Sironen, Faufusi, Stone, TPG
    Norman, Lamb, Jacks, Elgey
    Sione, Cotric, Suli, Kelly

Cut a cow loose prematurely and get McInnes/Macca into your team now. Maybe cut Semi loose even. He'll have his big games and he might even have one to spite you if you trade him out this week but might be off the mark as a POD option this year.

I'd also look at trading out the Camel, he takes up to much cap space and takes up to much room on a bench.

I feel like my team is mud and I have no real worthy trade options yet I am still hanging onto 300th overall due to a strong start. I think Merrin has to go for an undervalued Whitehead or Bromwich and maybe upgrade elsewhere. He looks fat, slow and uninterested and his rest seems to be longer this year.

    Any advice on this squad?

    Cam, Brailey
    Vaughan, Fifita, Hoare, Yates
Mcguire, De Belin, Merrin, Kaufusi, CHN, Stone
    SJ, Jacks, Lamb, Elgey
    Citric, Kelly, Idris, Suli
    RTS, Cody, Slater, Hayne, Abbey

    Any thoughts are appreciated.

brailey - cook (if farah is out for awhile)

    stone - E.t, gillet , bodene, whitehead

if frawley is named tho he will be hard to pass up

Well don't trade keepers but if Merrin plays Origin he's going to miss a lot of footy over the Origin period so might want to cut him loose. Like if you traded him to Bromwich that's an extra 114k in the bank and then it means you can look at getting a gun CTR or HLF in

Gallen, Surgess and JGraham are starting to find some form, look like solid buys for the byes.

Farah injury provides a good out to those with Brailey. I'm tempted to go McInnes to Cook if Farah out long term and a cash cow forward to Gallen, Surgess or Graham or JDB or a cash cow back to Teddy.

Nathan Brown has become an interesting prospect if he continues to get big minutes.

Mannering, Ryan James, Merrin have become a worry.

Whitehead still a good buy this week.

Curtis Sironen is a w***** because he scores 19 when I have him, so I sell him and he gets a 57 and 46.

Dugan got his customary 2-4 week injury within the first 6 weeks of the season.

Dogs could have a new no.7 in Frawley but I doubt it. Mybe will be back.

Teddy continues to score very well without a try, is very scary not owning him.

Appears to only be 4-5 keepers in the front row this year, and Wallace may be worth holding on to. Scoring better than Ryan James at this stage.

    +1

Raiders actually have a very favourable draw going forward all the way until origin. Might jump on Rapana, Whitehead, BJ, Croker etc.

    Titans (A)
    Warriors (H)
    Manly (H)
    Bulldogs (A)
    Knights (A)
    Eels (A)
    Roosters (H)
    Manly (A)
    Panthers (A)

Plenty of points to be had in the next 5 games at least.

Like most you have a very decent squad but unfortunately it just isn't clicking for you. I'm in the same boat, i have a reasonable squad with keepers + guys making money but just can't get ahead.
