What about going Elgey to Hampton this week, and keeping Brailey, then if Hampton looks like he's going to be reasonable go Brailey to a gun half (moving Hampton up to Hooker)? His DPP makes him a very attractive option especially with trades leading up to the bye rounds.

What is he like defense wise then?
Don't want a Paul Carter candidate
He is a good tackler & doesn't hold back.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 27
Somebody mentioned Crichton...
As a Crichton owner myself, I would stay away. He misses a ton of tackles. He is lucky he crabbed across the field to palm off 5 guys to add 15 points to his total. Im actually wanting to sell him, but he looks to be a slow burner and plays round 12 so whatever, I'll keep him.
Also this question is bound to get asked this week lots.. "Is it too late too bring in TPG?"
Answer: No

The risk is Ponga being a 1 week utility to cover Coote, then a bench hooker turns up next week.
Good on ya mate, throw that curve ball hey !
Honeysett wrote:Quite honestly if I was Newcastle I would rest Sione for the rest of the year.
He's had far too many concussion assessments and it's becoming a problem for him. That's enough for mine. Take the year off, rest up. Let's focus on his health rather than getting him back onto the park. It's not a story that ends well if he keeps playing on.
Agree big time, well said.

also hame sele on the dragons bench with host out for some reason. i wonder what's up with this guy, he has frf/2rf status so could be worthwhile if he keeps this role.

Can anyone figure out the reasoning for the Bunnies to start Turner in the frf. Seems an odd selection. Surgess probably plays there anyway.

Hasn't Michael Morgan been used at Hooker previously?
I can see him resting Hampton if he needs a spell, Coote to 5/8 and Ponga to fullback.
Hampton is a good cash out for Elgey, and the option of switching to hooker for Brailey down the track.

Souths have 3 front rowers in the 14-17, plus Gurgess and Surgess.White Lightning wrote:Can anyone figure out the reasoning for the Bunnies to start Turner in the frf. Seems an odd selection. Surgess probably plays there anyway.
I doubt that Turner plays there.

Thinking my trades this week will be Elgey>Hampton & Yates>Surgess
The extra gun 2rf makes me feel a lot better about my side:
Smith, Brailey
McGuire, Wallace, Faufusi, Musgrove
Gallen, Mannering, Surgess, Sironen, CHN, Stone
Norman, Lamb, Jacks, Hampton
Sione, Cotric, Suli, Kelly
RTS, Semi, Slater, Abbey, TRD
122k in the bank

My adoration for choosing Soli and his mane, said he won't get it cut until his new child has their first haircut in case anyone else is wondering, so it could get to a pretty epic size by seasons end.bonezi89 wrote:

I can see him continuing to take more minutes off Brailey and eventually Brailey won't be in the team.
