Re: May 5 test
I would just like to see blokes who deserve the jersey get picked is all, especially for a 1 off exhibition game, which is essentially what this is.

Ideally they should just fuck this game off.
Until then, incumbency just shouldn't apply to a few of those blokes that were 8th string call ups because the end of year international games are treated with such disdain.
Having said that, Thaiday is in fine form and is certainly not one of those blokes.
That is merely Pieman being the moronic simpleton that he undoubtedly is.

Re: May 5 test
With Papalii and Friz both 1. in better form and 2. in the side there is just no reason for him to be there.
He most certainly isnt in the top few players in the comp any more either.
The fact that someone like fifita or wade graham misses out because of him is just disgusting
in saying that there are also 5 or so other blokes who shouldnt be there so oh well

Wade Graham is over-rated. There, I said it.

Considering he has only played 1 meaningful rep game, I think it's safe to say he is highly underrated

I think he's a terrific player, but I'm hearing a lot of comments on Facebook about how he should be a certainty in the test team. Personally I don't have him on the same level as Papalii, Gillett, Cordner, Klemmer, and Frizell, and have him the next rung down (which is still a fantastic player). In the NRL, other players I'd have in front of him in the back row include Taumololo, Burgess, and Gallen. In my books that puts him a fringe top 10 backrower with the likes of Lewis, Merrin, Thaiday, McGuire, Cooper, Whitehead, Jackson, Harris, Cartwright, Taupau etc. He is undoubtedly a better ball player than all those guys, but not as good a ball runner.
At 26 years old, having played 1 Origin and no tests is about right imo.

Re: May 5 test
I reckon he is clearly better than a couple of those guys you mentioned, I dont think he demands a starting spot in the aus team or even the NSW team.
Bench nsw, definitly. Starting, maybe - yep.
bench for aus - he certainly wouldnt be out of place.

With these injuries this weekend its a shame that two SOO players are playing for other countries instead of us

Looks like Tonga will without Fifita as he's been called into the Kangaroos squad.

Ugh Packer.
Honestly, I'm expecting to lose (Not that we ever win anyway) but because Kidwell just isnt a good coach.

Really? I was thinking this is your best chance in a while!
I'm sure Packer would be 18th man or something but Thurston hast played in a few weeks Cronk has been pretty ordinary for his standards and we don't have any good props apart from Turbo and Boyd. I would say Fifita is a good prop but I worry about him giving away stupid penalties or stupid errors

Pretty sure Packer will be in the 17. He just doesn't do it for me, doesn't have that X-Factor. Too slow, what does he offer in attack?
Why the fuck do we have Brandon Smith in the squad? For experience I know, but realistically he isn't going to get a run, not now, not in the World Cup. Luke is #1, followed by Nikorima, followed by Levi.
Once again, Kidwell has no idea what he is doing. "Hmmm I know, let's pick a guy yet to make his NRL debut in the squad just because he might play for us in 3 years"
If we are doing that, what about Matt Mcwillrick from the Tigers.
