OK cheers. I didn't watch the game, but I understood he did well the previous week too when the dogs won and yet Des didn't start him after that either. Perhaps you are right and 2 games playing well might be enough to get the start.

He looks like the half the dogs have needed. There's a good chance he will be named on the bench again knowing des, which makes the trade a worry.

Des should just do what griffin did with cleary, give him the gig, fuck the others.

I've held off getting Slater (probably due to irrationally disliking him) - is it still worth bringing him in - Abbey > Slater

I agree, get both Frawley and Hampton. But I can't because this is the week I buy Whitehead. Or is it? Whitehead wont increase in price as much as these boys.

    Ennis knows whats up

yeah, des wil probably name him on the bench even if he ends up starting, but at least the dogs play first.

Right on. Couldn't stand Ennis as a player as good as he was. But listening to him as a commentator he has a massive footy brain, has some really great insight.

Read that yesterday and he does whats up. Mick should give des a call.

I think if you can get both frawley and hampton this week, surely whitehead can wait. Im looking at walker but will certainly hold off if i need to.

Yes I agree, very good to listen to on league in general. I actually had a soft spot for him as a player, and equal parts thought he was a total knob, I enjoyed all his niggle and backchat.

So... I might bring both the cash cows in, Des might start Frawley from the bench but lets face it, the dogs don't look like winning with him sitting on the bench.

If I go Lamb out & Frawley in it gives me the cash for 1 of these options. Please pick 1:
    (a) Wallace out - J. Graham in or
    (b) Wallace out - Aubusson in (via McGuire) or
    (c) Wallace out - N. Brown in
    (d) Yates out - Whitehead in (via McGuire) or
    (e) none
    Thanks.

Ennis became one of my favourite players to watch in the last few years after seeing more of him in the media and realising he was a great bloke off the field. everything he did on the field was just part of the game. very intelligent footballer. The game needs these characters on and off the field.

Not just about the price rises though right? Ultimately about the points so that has to be taken into account too. How many points do you expect out of Hampton and Frawley?

Im bringing in Whitehead and 1 CC this week. Last week convinced me that the Raiders right edge will score points like they did last year and Whitehead will grab some of those stats. With that in mind he is ~$130k undervalued, probably won't get cheaper, and will likely average around the 50 point mark. He also plays round 12, and is a guaranteed starter for the rest of the year barring injury. If he's not a keeper he will be a pretty easy upgrade by around round 15 or so...

Am I the only one who thinks Hampton isn't a must have this week. I think if you got him last week the numbers add up okay, but with the rep round thrown in surely JT and Granville are out for only three more rounds. That being the case he would have to average mid 40's from now to make 100k, possible but not a certainty. And saying he will play during the byes, what round 15 maybe? In the mean time he has gone back to scoring 15's and lost all the money you earnt and is a crap AE. Have I got it wrong or do people think he will easily get those mid 40's or higher?

I'm with you Mulvy ol mate only because I will never consider a future AE liability a must-have and would need trades to burn to make him one of them.

    He got decent minutes before last week and output has been rubbish at times with mins so again, only if trades to burn. Unfortunately I've been on a cash cow trade rush so need to switch to;
    keeper,
cash out (no AE risk), and/or
    byes
...and he ticks none of these boxes

Shit, i forgot about the rep round mate. That does potentially change things with hampton actually.
