Is this for a Crichton trade? Just do it mate, I most likely will. I know though next week though an exact situation will come up where I need the DPP's and I'll be cursing my decision. cheer

What's peoples thoughts on bringing in Ponga now? I'm glad I got him a few weeks ago but it could be too late. We can see Green isn't that loyal, as we all thought once O'Neil was back GGM would be out with Bowen to the wing, but that's not the case. Surprised Green has put Lowe on the bench in favour of Loch Hess also.

Yeah mate, its either for ET or Sironen. I still maintain a bit of faith in ET that he's a 50 point player. Sironen will still slowly make cash too. Though if I trade ET it allows me to turn Musgrove into Graham/Vaughan/Fifita

Kinda buggers up my trade plan this whole Guth thing. However, makes for some interesting options.

My DPP situation allows me to bring in anyone above 515k in almost any position Except hooker.

    Current team.

    Smith, Mcinnes
    Jwallace, Vaughan, Kaufsi, Ytes
Gallen, McGuire, JDB, CHN, May, Stone,
    Cronk, Cwalker, Jacks, Hampton
    Cotric, Indirs, Kelly, Moga
    Ponga, Guth, RTS, Abbey, Phythian.

    Trades im considering.

    Guth to:

    Graham
    Mannering
    Sburges
    Norman
    Nofo
    Crichton

Whats the best trade looking forward for balance across team and bye periods. have I forgotten anyone?

Norman is my least fav of the pick in terms of points. But leave a bit of coin in the bank

Tough. Both are really holds and I have Siro but not ET. I'm happy to keep Siro for the time being. There's no real reason to get rid of him, and I'd probably keep him over ET I guess if I had him.

I guess I'm in the same boat, looking to fuck my DPP's and just go 1 trade of Musgrove to Crichton, but if I wanted someone like Graham, it's easy to trade Siro or Winterstein or whoever and move the DPP players back down. I think it'll work out in the end. Musgrove has peaked and will probably hold his value for a couple of weeks I reckon, but with the new rotation, I don't think there's any concern in moving him on now.

For you though, if I could trade ET down to Crichton to get a gun in for Musgrove, I'd most likely do it.

I'd say Graham, but you're backs are a lot lighter than your forwards. Nofo is a great Pod at the back and will score points no matter what.

Cheers yeah, I'm thinking Fifita, mostly because he has been a proven gun in the past and he is a tiny bit cheaper lol
If I go that way I should have enough for J. Bromwich next week too which would give me a team of this for next week. Then no more trades for a while lol

    A. McCullough, (B. Hampton)
    A. Fifita, J. Graham, (J. Bromwich)
    E. Whitehead, P. Gallen, S. Mannering (J. McGuire)
    S. Johnson, C. Norman
    J. Leilua, J. Idris
    J. Tedesco, R. Tuivasa Sheck, J. Hayne (K. Ponga)

Hopefully trade up Ponga to Dugan or similar when he reaches his peak and Hayne to the bench lol

    Impressive team Onthebeat!
Looks pretty good for the round 12 bye too, and with your current ranking you should be able to get into the top 25 soon.

Cheers Chewie!!!! Very Happy I'm currently ranked 20th so hopefully I can stay up there.

Yeah, was thinking along the same lines. My team is so copy paste. a few original thoughts wouldn't go astray. Graham plays R12 though.

Good on ya mate, thats a sweet team. Out of interest (question to anyone that's looked), how many of the top 20 or so have Cam Smith?

You've obviously made several great decisions with your team so far @Onthebeatpete but one of the key ones looks to me like it would have been your hooker combo to begin with.

Says here that Green liked what Leary offered more than Hampton out of dummy half, and a good chance he'll play good minutes.

This is why im not sold on Hampton aswell. Cowboys looked better with Leary at dummy half.
Coote could come back next week and play in the halves so that may push Hampton back to the bench if Leary goes well.

Cheers Rippin! Very Happy The majority of people have McCullough I think. The guy ranked second has cam smith but 1st place has McCullough.
I started with McCullough and Brailey, mainly because they were cheaper and I could work on other areas of my team which seems to have worked out ok so far.

Interesting. Kudos to the guy coming second then. Must have made some hellava good picks elsewhere.

Im coming 17th and started with both Smith and Fifita.
If i had my time over i would have only started with one and used the cash for another gun half rather than picking Elgey.

Field on the bench put me off McInness and Fifita looked really fit in the All Stars game.

I did take a punt on hess from the start so that worked out ok

Team for the week after trades:

    I Papalli to Chricton
    Kelly to Idris

    Smith, McInnes
    Fifita, Faufusi, AFB
    McGuire, Wallace, Chricton
    Norman, Johnson
    Dalker, Turbo, Idris, Cotric
    RTS, Slater, Ponga

Are any of CHN, Frankenstein, Yates, Jacks, Frawley worth coming in over Idris, Cotric and AFB. Obviously Leota, TRD and Dylan Edwards are not options.

Just trying to think about where I went so wrong with my team. Choosing Smith and McInness over McCullough and Brailey certainly made cash tight.
Then Fifita going so shit compared to Vaughan would be another.

Spending money on Dylan Walker hasn't really gained me the extra points necessary to be worth it either. And I didn't really look ahead to the byes very well.

Hahaha didn't realize you were already in the top 20 Shocked

You should be pretty set with this team going forward... just need a hooker to cover round 15 and 18, but you've got plenty of time to sort that one out...

Kinda happy with my team this early on (except the halves situation). But still have a shite rank of 3366. Here's my team as it stands with 24 trades left and a donut in the bank account.

    Smith (v), Brailey (r)
    Fifita, Wallace, Kaufusi (r), Ese'Ese
Surgess, Mannering, Gallen, Whitehead (r), CHN, Capewell
    Johnson, Jacks, Elgey, Hingano
    S'Mat, Cotric, Idris (r), Moga
RTS, Tedesco (c), Slater, Abby, Isaako

On another note, can one of you champions explain to me "the risk of an AE" I understand that you want a gun 17 and 8 NPR locked in asap but why wouldn't you want the extra points if one of your guns doesn't play? Wouldn't you want your '138k nuffies' to at least be playing if possible? Call me stupid but I don't get it.

    Cheers.
