Thinking I'll lock in,
a Whitehead for a Yates.
Then a NBrown fror a JWH.

I've got rocks in my head then. Leary is named at 9, close to bottom dollar but comes with the bonus of making at least a little bit of money in the very rare chance i have a trade spare down the line but need cash. Unlikely to stick around as a nasty AE and the guy I'd be trading out in Yates isn't doing all that much for me anyway. In fact Leary might actually benefit me on a bye, which Yates most likely wont. I'm not set on it, but I'm considering it and don't see it as silly as you do.

I'd back Hampton over MorganRabbit wrote:Who will do the field kicking for the Cowboys? Hampton isn't a kicker is he? Morgan?

If you could guarentee he doesn't play origin those would be great trades. Could go down hill very quickly if Reynolds plays origin

Cheers mate for the feedback and Welshy. I'm strongly considering it. I mean you gotta take a punt now and then. Who are the options anyway. Pearce, Moylan or Maloney for 5/8? Cleary as a bolter? anyone else?

Sterling said on the sunday footy show that Cleary is no chance this year and I'm pretty sure he is involved in selections. Basically Pearce v Reynolds for halfback and Maloney v Moylan for 5/8 I would think
All good and i completely hear what you're saying. Its a move very likley to blow in up in your face and although we've been saying that about most of the "rookie" options this year, you can't get lucky on them all and this could well be the one that goes poorly. I may end up passing on it, because as i said earlier I'm really keen to improve my scoring this week rather than making more trades for money, but i just didn't think it was quite as one sided as you and all discussion is healthy on here so thought I'd throw my 2 bob in.Finger Puppet Mafia wrote:
Sorry didn't mean to come across too brutally. I just think it is too higher risk. There is also a potential for Coote to come back next week and possibly (all theory atm) push into the halves, putting Hampton back to hooker and Leary to the bench. To many scenarios that could play out as early as next week for the Cowboys and it looks to me that in every possible scenario Leary looks to be the first to be pushed out.
I do agree though that he is a great downgrade for Yates.

Bit of a conundrum really. If I get ARey I want him to gun it, but not gun it so much he gets selected for blues, haha
