Are we any closer in deciding a Jacks downgrade. Are we going Nu Brown, Klok or Feeney. I probably have to go for one of these guys as a cash grab to improve my ctrs for next week.

If I were cashing out a half, I'm tempted by Jai Field for the max.

Brown's prospecting on him maybe getting picked and an extra 5k for nothing really.

Feeney's biggest asset last year was his DPP. I'm in the camp of don't even mention him.

If I'd known Klok was in the system, I may have reassessed my Siro to Fai cashout.. Not a fan of wingers, but I was considering Jamal Fogerty just for his DPP and Klok may jag some decent scores somehow and make money. If CK was adamant on getting him in the system this week then... :p

Kaysa Pritchard is great for the byes, is outscoring Brailey and quickly increasing in price over him, he's also been outscoring McInnes over the past month.

Any obvious negatives in trading him in? 57k difference between Brailey and Kaysa this week but that will be over a 100k soon the way he's been going. Won't be long before Seggy is back so Brailey has to go anyway.

    Thoughts anyone?

    Was a good read,

one thing I have always hated though is people who say "well back in the day, the ref made a call and on they played". Yes, while back in the day though there were no replays on tv, no super slo mos, and the tv was made up of about 6 pixels so no one really knew any different.
I love that I can see the stitches in the ball from my couch, and with that comes multiple replays and (mostly) crystal clear replays of the action.

Therefore the calls have to be better.

I only see one good option. Refs call it as they see it every time, and a captain has 4 challenges - 2 each half. Players usually know if they have scored or not, leave it up to the players to ref themselves in those crucial moments. Same with strips and knocks ons etc. They wont want to waste their challenges, and the game will move so much quicker.

has anyone got any good reasons why the captain challenge wouldnt work?

I really like that idea it has a lot of merit. They have a similar thing in the cricket and it works there.

Pretty sure they have already trialled a captains challenge system in the lower grades. Not sure how it worked out or what the end result of the trialling was but I for one also think it would be a good thing.

If you can afford the trades, it might be a good move. Kaysa's not really a sure thing though I don't think. Only played 80 once in Rd 1 and didn't score well the first few weeks. A couple of good scores lately with high tackle counts, but as was the case with McInnes, he'll have some lows when they dominate attack or are poor defensively.

I'm thinking if I upgrade Brailey soon, it would be the cheaper than Macca options in Hodgson or McInn.

Byes may affect my judgement since I'm H2H focused and avoid Bunnies/Eels.

I was just reading an Eels forum & some dude reckons he hearing Will Smith will come into the team at half with Edwards going back to the bench with Gower dropping out. Now how long is Takairangi out? Smith costs 191k & is dpp hlf/wfb.

I heard the same rumour... Smith would be a better option, while using Kenny as an impact player.

So glad I bought Jnik, going to make a little bit of cash helping to get to Cody Walker in a few more rounds. Hoping they give Hunt at least two more rounds out though.

Going to be some carnage over the rep week - can just feel it.

Am 101/2 after last night. Not sure why McGuire was a sell for so many but I guess it's more a squad makeup decision than the player.
Just think that most origin guns are holds until round 12, you never know what's going to happen. CHN did well given the 60 minutes, happy enough.

Anyone hear anything more about J Roberts injury.

It was quite funny watching the Broncos scores after 60 minutes start to go down, giving their points away to the Panthers with so many missed tackles.

Roberts, Niko, McCullough were gunning it and then just started missing so many tackles.

I've never understood the whole Matt Gillette best defensive second rower thing, quite often he misses tackles but last night was another story.

Interesting. Assuming same chap that was knocking around at Penrith? If so, very solid for a 30 score so doesn't represent a major AE headache. Although not explosive, definitely not the sort of player from memory who was getting 11 points and nonsense like that

Gillett misses tackles because he attempts so many one on one. It's easy to make all your tackles when you're 2nd or 3rd man in. In terms of real life (ignoring fantasy), Gillett is the best 2rf in the comp in terms of what he provides to the team IMO.

Yeah hasn't played 80 since round 1 but is averaging anywhere between 65-75mins. I think his 61 last week might be a one off but looks good for at least a 40-45 average from his current game time.

If he maintains that through the byes he'll be well over 400k and within easy reach of a gun hooker.

Think ive settled on frawley to Field to fund a Cotric to Croker upgrade and leaving me the cash to straight swap Mcguire to Burgess. That will be me until after byes are done, then I'll use the Stone and CHN cash to upgrade Cook and Lamb to guns.

Lulz. Who am I kidding. Bet I keep trading but the plan is there..

This sounds strange saying but Feeney seems the best option for Jacks.
Klok - could just be a 1 game cameo
Frawley - coming off the bench plus with a b/e of 27 he will lose cash
Nu Brown - won't even be in the 17 & no guarantee for game time re bye rounds
Will Smith - French back next week so 1 game cameo & @ 191k he's not cheap

Feeney is the 4th most traded in player for this round re yesterday. Here's the top 9:
Hayne, Norman, Crichton, Feeney, L. Brown, Stone, K-Nik, Brooks, Pritchard

Some shady picks there with Feeney, L. Brown & Brooks.
