By my current bye planning I'm looking at around 7/8 left going into rd 20 but just a bit worried I might be leaving myself short if there is 1 or two necessity trades through the byes (cover injuries, must grab cheapie, gun injures himself in the first minute and then has price drops and so is too worthwhile not to grab)

If you have a good final 17 together, then 7/8 trades is plenty for the run home. Assuming you are going for overall position and don't care about H2H Finals matches. If you care about H2H you'll want a couple more trades up your sleeve

Trick is in getting the final 17 as strong as possible, and assembling it as quick as possible. If you have a gun final 17 come round 20, and none of them get injured, you can survive without trades at all.

    My planned trades

    Talakai > Fuiamono
    Lamb > Munster

These OK? Fuiamono risky, but I have not really been playing Talakai in any case and he is not going to rise in price much more. PS Thanks for the advice on Vaughan!

    Leaves me with

    Smith ^ Pritchard
    Vaughan ^ Tolman ^ Brown ^ Hoare
    Surgess ^ de Belin ^ Crichton ^ Whitehead ^ Harawira-Naera ^ May
    Norman ^ Munster ^ Kikorama ^ Frawley
    Dalker ^ Sata'uita ^ Fuiamono ^ Kelly
    Ruivasa-Sheck ^ Holmes ^ Hayne ^ Cotric ^ Suli

Depending on this week, may consider Kelly > MWZ and Suli to Gutherson for Gutho's byes but apart from that solid team for most bye rounds so far.

I'm just wondering why you abbreviated names into stuff like Kikorama and Ruivasa-Sheck when KNiko and RTS would have sufficed.
Anyway I don't see a problem with your trades. You've got what looks like a fair amount of players for the first bye. The cash from Talakai can certainly set you up to make an eventual upgrade of whoever you want.

yea will be caring about overall. I'm liking the look of my team come rd 20 but just wary of getting fucked over. Got screwed 2 years ago with a bunch of guns going down injured in the final few rounds and Fifita being suspended over that incident with his brother and him abusing a ref at a junior game or something like that. I'm liking the team as i'd be happy running it out as my final 17 at the end with Walker/Munster as an 18th man. Would probably upgrade Hayne to Teddy if I could be I'll see at the time

If I had 8 trades left come round 20 that means I would have used 18 trades over the next 10 rounds.

Im currently ranked 5000th, hope to use those trades for a bye rounds surge!!!

Based on pod value & bye coverage I'm thinking Roberts & Radradra. Also both T-Trbo & Hayne will play origin. Thoughts & thanks.

I think your call is spot on. The two PoD choices who will be good over Origin. Though I personally don't know if Roberts will keep his pace.

If I shift Yates into my 2RF I can bring in Elliot or anybody up to Guerra in value but then I lose any DPP I have in my FRF. It's not worth it is it?

In my situation I need to trade Frankenstein to a DPP so I can trade out Fifita to Burgess in round 12

I sacrificed my DPP's when I got Crichton and haven't had an issue yet, but it was a factor for me, but I don't think it's the be all and end all at the moment. During bye rounds might be a different story though.

    Strange...

My worst bye round by a long way is Round 19 when only 4 teams have a bye.

Not a bad problem to have because a long way to go until then. I think it is time to start limiting trades if I want to have 7 to 8 at Round 20, although I am of the opinion that the earlier you use your trades the more benefit (or problems) they give you.

I think the moral of the story is trade often and trade early (as long as they are quality) and leave a few for the end with the hope of a bit of luck from the dreaded injury / suspension goddesses.

I have 21 trades left before round 10. Will use 7 to round 12 so in round 13 I'll have 14 left. Will use 7 trades between rounds 13-19 to get a full 17 players in the mini bye rounds 13,16 & 19. So from round 20 I'll have 7 left for the run home. In a perfect world this would be straight forward but we all know that in a fantasy world it doesn't understand or care about straight forward.

Hey, is everyone getting rid of ponga this week?

    Was thinking of
Idris to Fuimaono and abbey to Radradra
    or
    Idris to Fuimaono and
    Ponga to Munster/C. Walker?

Whats the plan with trading in Fuiamono? Will he be an AE risk down the line?

Souths would probably do a lot better if Madge backed his team to improve together rather than constantly changing up everything.....

Crichton's place keeps seeming risky. I'm hoping with Farah on the bench he still plays close to 80, but who the hell knows with Madge.

Current Forward Pack (assuming the rumours to be true):
    T.Burgess   Cook   Turner
    Clark   Crichton   S.Burgess
    Farah   Rochow   Cherrington   Fuimaona

I'm going to stick to my rule of not getting any Souths players not named Reynolds or Sam Burgess. Madges rotations are insane

Murray seemed to mess with Crichton's mins. Maybe that's good for Grand Angus.
