I understand and appreciate your points. I'm a safety first base stat heavy kind of player. Was going to stick on 1 trade this week with 21 left and 100k itb to do Faufusi and Slater to Calker and Graham next week...

But I'm 311th with reasonable bye cover, last 7 of 8 trades all bye focused,  and I'm seriously tempted to take the risk for several reasons.

    A) he's a pod >4% ownership
    B) non-bye friendly means many will avoid and if keeps it up he'll be out of reach or just too awkward to get in
    C) I've been hamstrung in the past by over obsessing about coverage in the past and sometimes you miss a gem keeper
    D) I play fantasy FPL and high money players like Aguero are considered $$$ insurance in that if it goes wrong you can easily transition to other players

What you reckon? In probably gonna gamble
understand your reasoning mate and the fact he is likely to cost around 20-40k more next week after his last 3 monster scores

I just don't like his consistency and he is well capable of scoring a sub 30 because he only plays 50 minutes sometimes, his current price is a decent premium on where I would expect him to end up at seasons end

I prefer James for cheaper and less than 10% ownership if you are not concerned by byes or if have a go on Harris if you have enough FRF cover

Its been a while since I've posted my team.
    Trades this week (so far):
    TTrbo to Fuimaono
    Burns to CWalker

leaves 19 trades and $4K ITB

    Smith Hodgson
    James Wallace Tolman Hoare
JDB Surgess Crichton Faufusi CHN Elliot
    Pearce Munster Field KNik
    SMat Cotric Idris Fuimaono
    Slater RTS CWalker MWZ

Not sure which 2RF to put the last R on, or if Knik starts then does he get the R?

If you reckon its worth the gamble, go for it, hope it works out for you.

Every time I've had Tapau im side he's let me down, whether it's his discipline or his inconsistent scores.

He's definitely put up some good scores this year but for a 500k player those 30s are a concern.

    Good to go?

    Why Hayne?

The 3 games he's played without injury he's averaged 38. That would mean he's got at least another 80k in him.

He's not playing Origin. 100%. I'm willing to bet anything.

@Welshy James is interesting. I've seen many mention him. If you strip 3 tries + LB from last 4 that's 9avg less. Isn't that just as trappy as Kapow. Just playing devils advocate

Also with Hayne - why drop him? He's DPP after two more games at centre and he's named there this week. He fits into a shit position.

I would hold a fullback Hayne, but not a centre Hayne.

Will need heaps of attacking stats to average that high in that position.

Plus he seems to get injured alot.

$20ish - there's two of them. Bourbon and Whiskey. So $40. That's a block of XXXX isn't it - should suit you?

Who do you guys think I should go?

    B. French and M. Aubusson (centre) or C. Walker (WFB) and J. Bird?
Could also go B. French and Hopoate or Croker etc. I like the C. Walker and J. Bird trade but everyone keeps saying he will play origin, not too sure tho.

Anything to avoid Bird, so I'd go with the first.

I had French from R1 and all I'll say is that he got by and nothing more. Scores didn't really reflect fantasy potential, and could be a risk coming back from a significant injury for his explosiveness - so buyer beware. Aubbs at CTR is a win though.

James far more consistent in his scoring, I'm not taking Taupaus TBs and offloads off him it just isn't sustainable

last year he banged out a few 50s and a 90 odd in a row then followed it up with 30s and 40s

James has the same high ceiling and a higher floor IMO

    What about Tohu?

I don't like French or Bird as French wasn't that impressive before his injury & I think Bird will play origin.

Best bye friendly FRF gun other than Graham and NBrown? Tolman?

Also, would it be a bad idea to run with both Tolman and Graham?
