2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 42

I've had 3 play and dropped from 198 to 1790.

This is where my season comes to a grinding holt. I've ridden a lot of luck to get under 200 in ranks, but I can tell that byes (and this week of not having Gallen, Fifi, Tololololo) are going to kill me.

Before potential trades (Wallace to Graham, perhaps a Pearce downgrade, to fund CHN to Gallen)

R12 for me looks like:

Hodgson 45
Tolman 48
Crichton 50, Burgess 55, Fuimaono 20, (Elliott 40)
KNik 30
Cotric 37
RTS 35, Walker 48

Looks about 400ish. 550ish if I max gun trade next week.

This kind of thing is all very irrelevant mid round. the people who have gone above you have had 6, 7 etc play.

Have the eels stated that Moses will start tonight? I seem to remember an article earlier in the week saying they would, but he's still shown on the official team list on the bench

From what I've read he is definitely starting. Keen to see how he goes but I won't be able to catch the game. He might be a good hayne/slater/rts trade in the future

I have McCullough so needed him next week. I hope the Broncos do not play him and am extremely suprised Bennett said he should be fine for next week. I don't care if he passes a midweek concussion test, you give him minimum 1 week off.

Just something randomly interesting of note. I was looking at Lafai's score from last night and he did not incur one negative point whatsoever.
For how heavily involved he didn't make an error with ball in hand. In defence well he didn't have to do enough of it to get any penalties or missed tackles but still pretty good stuff.

I'm a lil different to most, I'm hoping J Folau, Burns or Talakai don't get a run next week, or it stuffs up my AE. I'm think I'm pretty safe? Thoughts?

I agree completely. They've got to be kidding. Especially as the game is in NZ. Leave him home and let him rest.
It was one of the most distressing injuries I've seen in a long while, with all the blood and convulsing and whatnot. He looked like he was dying. I sure am glad he's okay but surely if you're so badly injured that you need the medicab to get off the field you should have to have at least a week off.

Souths ain't giving anyone up to Origin so only injuries will force a reshuffle. Folau well at this point not even Jennings looks like he'll play Origin and with Taka back then there's no chance Folau plays unless there's a dire injury toll today.

Kev Walters hinted that Milford may be 18th man for qld and if he was, qld may request that the Broncos not play him next weekend

Just to play devils advocate re Macca who I don't own & because I am old school. Stitch him up, put some head gear on him & let him loose.

Yep one of the worst concussions I have ever seen and Bennett saying he should be good to play in another country 190 odd hours later in one of the most demanding positions. He is turning into a real flog that bloke.

Old school = when we didn't know how much concussions can impact on a persons long term mental health.

Why risk his long term health? Niko can play hooker and Hunt into the halves.

Well to be fair none of us or at least highly unlikely any of us have any real medical knowledge of what he's going through. It does seem like the right thing to do just rest him for a week regardless of his diagnosis though.  
However if the club's medical staff run all the appropriate tests and scans, and they believe that he is fit to play then not really much anyone can say to oppose it. The game isn't a do or die match by any means, they'll prefer him to play but they won't risk him if they don't feel he can handle it.

I'm not sure how I feel about this

@ BB. That's interesting that Lillyman is in the 17 as he looks past it to me. You could make a case for Myles being in there because he's played quite well this year & he can still hit hard in a tackle which Lillyman definitely cannot.

Lillyman had been averaging 145 metres a game up until about rnd 8 or 9. not sure how he's gone since that. I can't say I watch many warriors games to say that they are 'good' metres or not. In the one game i took notice he went pretty well.

Kevy has maintained all along that he would stick with the players that won it last year (at least for game one) so I expect that leaked team is pretty much as expected.
