Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 46
Boy did I fall asleep this weekend. A measly 627pts has dropped me out to 388 overall.
Missed any action on Cam Smith's outage, so I hope its not a long term issue as rumoured. Should have put two and two together and switched him out (probably would have gone McInnes for long term plans).
A few late team list drop outs, and rubbish points from SJ, Tolman, Hayne, Elliott and Smat really stuffed me this week.
I'd like to fix the CTRs up this week, but not many options that i can see - Is Lafai worth a look? or hold out to bring TTrbo back in?
Looking forward to get the full team back though (Gallen, Surgess and Crichton).

Well never read too much into a draw and supposedly 'easy' games but Lafai has the Bulldogs, Eels, Knights and Titans coming up before his next bye. Dogs were awful, Knights are the Knights and the Titans concede as many tries as they score.
If he managed 41 in a tight game where he didn't make a line break or score a try then you can probably back him to do well over the next month.

He screwed me last year, but he is an eager kid and looked really involved and motivated on the weekend. For his price, there's not much downside after his performance I think. Still managed to jump around and grab some TB's too even though he's been on the Merrin diet. Frawley is awful and should be dropped as soon as Reynolds is back, which is probably next week.

Haynes news in the last few hours:
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/teams/titans/jarryd-hayne-returns-to-fullback-for-gold-coast-titans/news-story/03ccc86e80c6f5f922db4841f122f475
TL:DR - Neil Henry is moving him back to fullback to get ahold of the ball. “He needs to be back there,” Henry said.
Therefore, probably worth holding as a NPR for another few weeks, to see how the points come at the back.

@BroncHose
same deal with me this week scored 622 and went from 260 out to 500. could have been a whole lot worse though. got super lucky with moga and vc on slater.
suffered from 4 players dropping out which im sure many also had cnk, mwz, smith, graham.
and to think 3 days ago i was upset that i might get field's AE score. i would love 5 points now!

On a side note, Edwards looked great out there today. I really hope he keeps his spot, he should and wish I traded him in. I think if he secures the spot, he would be a fine starting WFB.

This is true, I think I spent at least two trades on him last year. Think I will take the chance again this year although be interesting to see how that changes with Brooks back - be neat to four hlf/wfbs: Munster, Gutho, Walker and lolo

Is this proof that Neil Henry plays fantasy and wanted Hayne to have DPP status?

Do we think J. Friend will continue to play 80 mins for the rest of the season.

I think at full strength, Watson nabs a bench spot for sure.

So who are owners of that woeful poor excuse of a footballer Bodene trading him for? I assume no one is still going to run with him surely?

On the evidence provided it would seem Friend is only playing 80 mins while Pearce is out due to origin/injury. If I recall correctly he played big minutes early last year while Pearce was out also. I think if you were going to buy Friend in NRL Fantasy it was best to do so at the completion of round 11 before he scored 82 in round 12 and made a bucket load of cash.
