Working on a little something that will give us a better idea of player ownership within teams of concern, eg ownership of X player in top 1000, or even top 2000 teams. If people are interested, let me know.

Rd 10 so made 116k. I'm looking at my spreadsheet and Elliot and Cotric have to go this week or next. They've done their job. I'm looking at getting a close to 17 for the remaining byes. Sometimes you have to cut players to maximize byes even though they play 18 because they don't dovetail well enough and they're not keepers
Each to their own I guess mate. I brought him in round 9 and so have made about the same as you. I just know that for me, he was a pretty crucial part of my bye planning in that I expected him to play 80 in both rounds 12 and 18. In doing so I hoped he would make enough cash for me to upgrade come round 19. Trading him now (just cause he has potentially peaked in price - which is a little tough to say given he still has 4 games to play before round 19) would mean a massive flow on effect for the rest of my team (and team planning).
You must have a pretty sweet team if Cotric and Elliot are your two must trade outs at this stage. Do you mind sharing your squad?

McInnes Kaysa
Taupau Wallace Brown DUD
JDB Merrin Surgess Gallen Crichton Elliot
SJ Guth Niko NuBro
Cotric Sione Fui Suli
RTS Slater Semi Jayne DUD
I could do Cotric and Elliot to Edwards and Lolo but doesn't make for perfect bye numbers DPP swapping
I'm less inclined to sell Cotric even with bad byes. Just seen he has 40 TBs last 5 games. Need to decide if I want Edwards or not

Nice team mate, some good pick ups there by the looks.
But that's far from 17 in rounds 15 & 18 isn't it? Im seeing a probable 12 (in 15) and 10 (in 18) with Wallace and Slater likely out. Maybe I've counted wrong as I've only looked it over briefly trying to recall the bye schedule off the top of my head?
It might just be the way I look at the bye rounds but I run my player projections and try and maximise my points with a view to getting the best 17 together at or close to round 19. On the face of it I would think that Elliot could still offer your team quite a lot of points given your numbers in the major bye rounds. One could argue he is still a bit undervalued given he's average 47 as an 80 minute player as well although admittedly I haven't run the numbers on his price projection over through to round 19 - have you? Would be interesting to see what it is based on reasonable assumptions.
I can certainly see why you'd wanna lose Cotric now - but Im still struggling with the Elliot trade out mate. I would have thought Niko would be a bigger priority than Elliot and then Slater and perhaps even Wallace too if they both get selected for Origin.

@ MTB. Your exercise would be great & a very helpful guide especially for our fellow fanatics who have a serious shot at winning & especially for PB to maintain his champion lead.

I've accounted for Wallace and Slater out. I would need 4-5 of trades this week and next to be 15 players to get 16-17. Because the above haven't been named yet Niko Elliot RTS Cotric top of the list and I'm not sure any of those will be in my 17/18. Niko doesn't get me Edwards who I'm not decided on so that leaves the other 3
Worst case I will just do Niko>Munster this week

Can you do it for VTSD too? Prob only relevant for the top 20 or so - but even still its a pain to do it manually!!

I could do Suli>Edwards that gives me one less 15 but one for 18. I don't hate this trade

How is yours looking?

I'm gonna use the 3 trade option next week to bring Fifita back in for elliott otherwise I wont be able to afford him.

J. Paulo, J. Graham
J. Taumalolo, P. Gallen, S. Burgess, A. Crichton, A. Elliott
A. Reynolds, S. Johnson, C. Walker
J. Leilua, N. Cotric,

Hey guys, could someone help me out on Nu Brown and Feeney. If you are looking to cash out a half and are not concerned about the AE risk down the track, which of the two are more likely to get game time in the big bye rounds? Im not up to play on these fullahs
Is there another/better option?

Having Wallace & Slater is annoying going in to next week.
Was planning to have 17 next week but wont happen if these 2 are out.

Nu Brown will play 15 and Feeny will play 18, so take your pick. Feeny will be a big AE risk though, Nu Brown won't.

I'm a bit confused by your train of thought, but for what its worth why not go Cotric to Edwards via Hayne (if you decide you want him). Didn't you say Cotric was on you top list of trade outs?
With that in mind it seems odd to trade out Suli now given he has a BE of 28 (Cotric's is 38) and he plays round 15 (while Cotric is yet to have a bye). I would have thought round 16 is the time to drop Suli.
Anyway mate, I'll leave you to it

Thanks mate - Nu Brown it is then, all things equal its less risky to plan 2 weeks out than it is 5, but on top of that Im shorter in 15 than 18....

There is a chance Mortimer plays next week instead of Brown as Sharks won round 12, Brown was nothing special, but didn't need to be. I still think he'll play next week over Mortimer.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 46
Who would you guys put the last reserve spot on this week out of:
C Walker
Brailey
A Elliot
Im thinking Brailey (presuming he plays 80) is the safer bet - but if I wanna take a punt Walker could be the go.

OK cool, thanks for the heads up. And Fennel's spot, is that dependent on the Hodkinson injury?

Yeah, I feel you. But that being said Im treating it as a great opportunity to bring is 2 season keepers (was never convinced either of these two were going to be).
Im thinking Vaughn could be a good option for Wallace and for Slater, Teddy or Rapana. Both can wait till Origin 2 squads announced though!
Fluke from OZ (not sure who he is) that is on Radio Sport in NZ all the time as their NRL corespondent talking like Slater is a done deal. Wallace likely too. Although talk of Hess and one or two other options in the QLD forwards as well (didn't quite catch the whole segment). I took from that Wallace is not a certainty though.
