My three are going to be Graham, Vaughan and Nathan Brown because I can't afford anyone else, rather spend cash on getting JDB.

Brown is a beast, massive tackle counts and the odd game where he can bust them and loves an offloadfilthridden wrote:My three are going to be Graham, Vaughan and Nathan Brown because I can't afford anyone else, rather spend cash on getting JDB.
Missed tackles his only issue, like a mini JDB

Vaughan a bit more the season keeper but Brown us the flexibility of DPP which is handy at season close when you need a swap because you're out of trades!

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 49
hmm - yes.
Brown is yet to have a bye, vaughan already one down.
Vaughan has a higher ceiling, but Brown is more consistent.
Vaughan more expensive, brown is a straight swap.
so torn...

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 49
Right after a few calculations and being hard on myself with prices rises reductions I should be able to turn Brailey, Yates, and Milford into McInnes, JDB, and Norman.
Rd15 team:
McInnes
Vaughan, Musgrove
Gallen, Surgess, Crichton, JDB, Taumalolo, ET
Munster, Norman, NuBrown
Suli
Lolohea, MWZ
The fantasy gods will smite me though I'm sure

I have Wallace, Brown and Vaughan as my front 3 so I think that's what I'll be sticking with, any trade out of those is a luxury i can't see myself affording.

I currently have Tolman, James and Wallace.
Want Taupau, and despite slagging him a few weeks ago (and saying I'll never buy him), I may bite the bullet and make a play for Fifita - but I'll refuse to captain him if i do.
so, I'll try for Taupau, James and Fifita.
but it will come at the expense of my CTRs and possibly WFB.

I currently have Fifita, Graham and 2 duds in my FRF. I can get Taupau in my FRF and give myself some insurance but I'd have to pass on JDB/Lolo this week. I don't know I think having a 3rd FRF is probably a good idea but at the same time I'm more attracted to the consistency of the Locks.
Taupau is putting some monster scores together but he has a habit of getting suspended and I'd hate to hold off a gun for Round 15 only for him to get suspended before Round 18.

On FRFs, I'm currently running with Fifita, Graham and McGuire, having started with all three. Will probably just keep them all year, unless Tapau becomes too appealing.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 49
I feel like Rd 18 is going to be very very low scoring for most teams, looking at who i could bring into my roster there just doesn't seem like many good options there so even if i made the trades and brought them in it wouldn't drastically change my score that week.

Both look good 15 and 18 (or 19) choices... key now is decide which of them you want from round 20 as they are both probably good enough to be a final move not double trade

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 49
I don't think any FRFs are appealing except Fifita and Taupau, who I already have. Second tier FRFs James, Wallace, McGuire, Vaughan, Brown, Graham are much of a muchness and none of them are going to outscore the best 6 2rfs and best 2 hookers, or even this year the best 4 WFBs.
Prob going to bring in Bromwich for byes and just hold him as an NPR/19th man in case Fifi or Taupau pick up one week injuries or, more likely, bans. Even if JBrom keeos scoring 30-40 the others are only scoring 40-50 so whatever.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 49
I don't know if it's already been mentioned or not, but Merrins crappy score could be due to him splitting up with Sally Fitzgibbon.

I'll bet he's in for a very rough ride.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 49
I can't log in to check it but are Fifita and Taupau really a tier above those other guys you've mentioned in terms of scoring this year? I recognise both have games where they go massive, but have they scored that much more total or even average than other FR's this season or have the low scoring games offset that and part of it is reputation? Genuine question.

Taupau 57, Fifita 56, Vaughan 53, McGuire 51 are the only FRF averages over 50
