Should i be rethinking this trade? Is Gutherson going to stay at FB?

Was going to trade gutherson out for edwards, but he went big, again. He is durable and consistent when he plays in the HLF or FB position.

Interesting;
Parramatta coach Brad Arthur has ruled out going to market for a hooker to replace Kaysa Pritchard this season.
Pritchard suffered a devastating knee injury which has ended his year and left the club’s stocks low, as Isaac De Gois is sidelined indefinitely due to the ongoing effects of concussion.
The Eels have recently been linked with Penrith No.9 Mitch Rein and Canberra bench rake Adam Clydesdale but despite speculation the Eels will hit the market before the June 30 transfer deadline, Arthur said they’d finish the year with what they’ve got in their system.
“We’re going to give Cameron King a go,” Arthur told Market Watch.
“He’s been with us for 18 months and deserves a chance. It may not be next week but more than likely.”
Was going to turn Brailey into Smith this week but kind of tempted to wait and cash him out for King next week.

OK, I think I am going to go balls deep and trade JDB to Taupau. Two extra games over the next three weeks..
I *think* I can manage to go Brailey to Farah (or another hooker who plays 18/19) and then that hooker to Smith in rnd 20, get Tommy T in for round 18, and JDB back in round 19 for ET
This would leave me with this team for round 20 and 3 trades
Smith McInnes
Fifita Taupau Graham
JDB Gallen Surgess Crichton Taumalolo
Johnson Reynolds
Trbo SMAT/Fui
Tedesco RTS Munster Edwards
Now wait for a couple of big injuries this week to ruin it all

@ Wolfking. I would not muck around & do Brailey to Smith. While King is tempting he does have an injury ridden career & you'll be kicking yourself if you tried to be creative, bring King in & he gets injured. Meanwhile you've used the extra cash elsewhere & can't get Smith without burning a couple of trades.

Thanks brother. I don't have any knowledge on him at all so if he has injury concerns, that's indeed a worry. And yeah he might play and get dropped after a week or so if he's shit anyway. If Smith gets through tonight, I'll just do it I think this week. Don't trust Farah or anyone else so will just take the 2 games he misses. Losing JDB after trading him in last week hurts too, but I want to keep him.

Having only 3 trades from round 20 seems risky, is it not?

It does, I wanted to hold 4+, potentially 5. Its all about luck at that point though I guess. I want to try and keep two reasonable back ups so if someone misses one or two games its not a disaster.
In the last week alone we lost Surgess for a game and now JDB for a game.
What awaits in the next week?

Yeah, would definitely be luck. I was thinking 5 is a good number, 4 is acceptable and 3 is walking it fine.

At this stage of the season it's always tricky trying to conserve trades while trying to get the team you want. If injuries are kind to you & you have the team you're happy with then 3 would be ok but 4-5 trades would be better.

Anyone with Friend, what are you doing?
He has an 80 and 71 and a recent 0. Gives him an average of 51 for the last 3 games. Given how Connor Watson played last week, I would assume Friend won't be playing 80 minutes anymore.
If that is the case, his scores will slip back to 40-50 odd, which means not a keeper and he is set to lose some serious cash. Won't be able to get an easy trade up to Smith if he drops another $100k over the next few weeks.
I feel like I have to trade him this week.

Yeah I would go Friend to Smith this week. Although Friend plays round 18 he misses round 19 so he only plays 1 more game than Smith & Friend won't play 80 mins when the Roosters are at full strength & he has a b/e of 74 this week so as you say he'll bleed cash & you won't be able to do a direct trade.

I think if Pearce makes up could make a difference to Friend. With Watson doing well, yeah, Friend won't play 80, unless Pearce doesn't backup and Watson plays in the halves. He will be gold for round 18, but if you won't have the funds, go Smith now and take the hit.

Curtis Scott still in contention for a starting spot according to Bellamy
Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy faces a difficult decision on his centre pairing for the clash with Sydney Roosters at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
The Storm have named Young Tonumaipea and Queensland Origin star Will Chambers in the centres but they have kept last week's two-try hero Curtis Scott on the interchange bench and in the mix to play.
Regular starter Cheyse Blair is expected to miss another three weeks after minor ankle surgery and Tonumaipea was the front runner to take his position but Scott's performance in last week's win over North Queensland Cowboys has given Bellamy a selection headache.
With game II of the State of Origin series in Sydney on Wednesday night, the Storm have named all five of their Origin stars in the team to face the Roosters but that is subject to them being fit to play.
Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk, Billy Slater, Tim Glasby and Chambers are all named to play for the Maroons while young star Cameron Munster has joined Queensland as 18th man [first injury reserve] but is not expected to play.
After the Storm beat the Cowboys without their Origin players last Saturday night, Bellamy said Scott's performance had dragged him back into the discussion for the centre roles.
"Touching wood that Chambers comes through [Origin] OK, it does give us a headache," Bellamy said.
"Young certainly had the jump early. He played a game for Cheyse and did a really good job, then Chambers got suspended and he did a good job for him too.
"He was the first one picked there but Curtis was really good against the Cowboys. We know he is someone with ability and we really like the way he plays.
"That is a bit of headache that you don't mind having."

Mate, Im only gonna have 1, but it all depends on how risk averse you are in playing this game.
Im of the mindset that I'd rather get my final team together ASAP, give my self the chance to finish as high as possible, and happy to suffer the consequence of blowing out if it all going pear shaped due to injury and running out of trades.
Others will have a different mind-set and end of season goals!

Hmm if Scott plays I end up having 18 with an AE between Yates and Scott..
If that were the case its tempting to just hold off Taupau for now and hope that Scott picks up another reasonable score.
At least dragons/manly games are after the Storm.
Decisions..

You have nice big round balls. I would like to feel them, just to know what balls of that size feels like, but I am not worthy.
